Albina Khamitovna Akhatova (russian: Альби́на Хами́товна Аха́това, tt-Cyrl, Альбина Хәмит кызы Әхәтова; born 13 November 1976) is a Russian (of Tatar origin) former biathlon, biathlete. She was banned for two years for doping. Career At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, she won bronze medals in the pursuit and individual; she originally finished fourth in the individual but was promoted when her teammate Olga Pyleva was disqualified after failing a doping test. She also won gold, silver, and bronze medals in Olympic relay competitions in 2006, 1998, and 2002, respectively. Akhatova also won the gold medals in the mass start at the 2003 World Championship held in Khanty-Mansiysk. Liv Grete Skjelbreid (born 7 July 1974) from Hålandsdal, Fusa, near the city of Bergen in western Norway, is a former professional biathlete. On 20 March 2006, Liv Grete announced her retirement, effective at the end of the season which ended on 26 March at the Holmenkollen. She said that she was retiring because of her young daughter, Emma, her family and because she did not have the motivation to continue. Magdalena "Magda" Forsberg (née Wallin; born 25 July 1967) is a Swedish former cross-country skier and biathlete. She was the dominating female biathlete from 1997 to 2002, when she retired, winning the Biathlon World Cup for six years straight. She is also a six-times world champion, a two-times Olympic bronze medalist, and holds the record for the most World Cup victories in women's biathlon.
