Birkebeineren Ski Stadium
Birkebeineren Ski Stadium ( no, Birkebeineren skistadion) is a cross-country skiing (sport), cross-country skiing and biathlon venue located in Lillehammer, Norway. Situated from the town center and at above mean sea level, it has two stadium areas, one for cross-country and one for biathlon. The former has a capacity for 31,000 spectators, and the latter for 13,500. The venue was built for the 1994 Winter Olympics, costing 83.6 million Norwegian krone (NOK). It was subsequently used by the 1994 Winter Paralympics for Paralympic Nordic skiing and Paralympic biathlon. After the games, ownership was transferred to the municipal Lillehammer Olympiapark. The venue has since been used for one Biathlon World Cup, three FIS Cross-Country World Cup and nine FIS Nordic Combined World Cup tournaments, the latter with the ski jumping competition taking place at the nearby Lysgårdsbakken, Lysgårdsbakkene Ski Jumping Arena. Ursula "Uschi" Disl (; born 15 November 1970 in Bad Tölz, West Germany) is a German former biathlete. Career During her competitive career Disl was a 19-year veteran of biathlon and was a five time olympian, with two Olympic gold medals from the 4 × 7.5 km relays in 1998 and 2002. She also has four silver medals (two in 7.5 km sprint (1998 and 2002), one in 4 × 7.5 km relay (1994), and one in 3 × 7.5 km relay (1992)), and three bronze medals (two in 15 km individual, 1994 and 1998, and one in 12.5 km mass start, 2006). Antje Harvey (born May 10, 1967 in Magdeburg, as Antje Misersky) is a former German cross-country skier and biathlete. She began her career as cross country skier and was a member of the East German team that won the 4 × 5 km bronze medal at the 1985 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld. When her father, Henner Misersky, who worked as a trainer of the East German team until 1985, refused to give steroid substances to his daughter and other team members, he was fired. Annette Sikveland (born 25 April 1972 in Stavanger) is a former Norwegian biathlete. During her career as biathlete Sikveland won three relay medals, bronze at the World Championships 1995 in Antholz, silver at the World Championships 1997 in Brezno-Osrblie and bronze at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano. Andreja Koblar (née ''Grašič'', born September 2, 1971 in Kranj, SFR Yugoslavia) is a former Slovenian biathlete. Career Andreja Koblar, who now resides in Križe began her career in biathlon in 1993 and was part of the national team since that season. She made her debut in the Biathlon World Cup in the season opener in Bad Gastein, where she finished 24th at the 20 km individual. A year later, again in Bad Gastein for the first time in her career she came home in the top ten finishing #7 at the sprint. Ann-Elen Skjelbreid (born 13 September 1971) is a Norwegian former biathlete from the Hålandsdal area in the Norwegian municipality of Fusa. She is the sister of Liv Grete Skjelbreid and is married with fellow Norwegian biathlete Egil Gjelland. Junior career She began with biathlon when she was 11 years old, and won the national ski competition for her age calls at 14 years of age.
