Bhongir Assembly constituency is a constituency of the Telangana Legislative Assembly, India. It is one among 12 constituencies in the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. It is part of Bhongir Lok Sabha constituency. Telangana Legislative Assembly
The Telangana Legislative Assembly or Telangana Śāsana Sabha is the lower house of the Telangana Legislature. The Legislative Assembly of Telangana currently consists of 119 elected members and 1 nominated member from the Anglo-Indian community. Its chief engineer was Nawab Sarwar Jung. The members of the ''Vidhana Sabha'' are directly elected by people through Universal suffrage, adult franchise. Arutla Ramchandra Reddy
Arutla Ramchandra Reddy was an Indian freedom fighter. He represented Bhongir constituency from 1962 to 1967. He was among the leaders and fighters in the armed freedom struggle against the rule of Nizam (the last ruler of the erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad). The communists joined with the poor peasants in the present day Telangana state during the 1940s to overthrow the Nizam's feudal regime. It was a sub-movement in the larger independence struggle of India, his wife Arutla Kamala Devi was involved in Freedom Struggle and she too was a Member of Legislative Assembly for 3 terms . Bhongir, officially known as, Bhuvanagiri is a district headquarters of the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district and part of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Region of the Indian state of Telangana. Falling under Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, the town is located on National Highway 163 & National Highway 161AA (India), about 47 km from state capital Hyderabad Central Point Etymology Bhuvanagiri Fort is one of the isolated monolithic rocks carved by the Western Chalukya ruler Tribhuvanamalla Vikramaditya VI and was thus named after him as Tribhuvanagiri. 2014 Telangana Legislative Assembly Election
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, 2014 took place on 30 April and 7 May 2014 to elect members to the legislatures of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It was held concurrently with the Indian general election. The results were declared on 16 May 2014. The Telugu Desam Party led by N. Chandrababu Naidu won a majority of the 175 seats in the rump Andhra Pradesh, while Telangana Rashtra Samithi led by K. Chandrashekar Rao won in the new state of Telangana. Alimineti Uma Madhava Reddy is an Indian politician from the state of Telangana. She served as a cabinet minister in the second N. Chandrababu Naidu ministry and was the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Bhongir Assembly constituency representing the Telugu Desam Party. The Telugu Desam Party (; TDP) is an Indian regional political party operating in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana at the state and central level. Since its founding by N. T.
