Beyond The Law (1968 Italian Film)
''Beyond the Law'' ( it, Al di là della legge) is a 1968 Spaghetti Western film directed by Giorgio Stegani and starring Lee Van Cleef, Antonio Sabàto Sr. and Gordon Mitchell. It was first distributed in the United States in 1971. Plot Three thieves successfully rob the stagecoach carrying miners' wages without anyone noticing. One of the bandits, Cudlip, becomes friends with Ben Novak, the new engineer in charge of transporting the money. When Ben realizes Cudlip is skilled with weapons, he decides to trust him with the transport of the new wages. Cudlip agrees, but only plans to steal them again without any bloodshed. However, another group of bandits attacks the stagecoach. Thanks to Cudlip and his two accomplices, the wages still reach the town. Cudlip is declared sheriff and is given the responsibility of transporting the extracted silver from the mine. But other bandits, defeated once before, have their eyes on the cargo. Giorgio Stegani
Giorgio Stegani (13 October 1928 – 20 February 2020) was an Italian film and television writer, film director and second unit director. Stegani was best known for his western films of the 1960s. He wrote the script for westerns such as ''Un Dollaro bucato'' (1965), directed and wrote ''Adiós gringo'' in 1965 and co-wrote ''Mille dollari sul nero'' (1966). Bud Spencer
Carlo Pedersoli (31 October 1929 – 27 June 2016), known professionally as Bud Spencer, was an Italian actor, professional swimmer and water polo player. He was known for action-comedy and Spaghetti Western roles with his long-time film partner and friend Terence Hill. The duo "garnered world acclaim and attracted millions to theater seats". Spencer and Hill appeared in 18 films together. In his youth, Bud Spencer was a successful athlete and swimmer for the Gruppo Sportivo Fiamme Oro. He obtained a law degree and registered several patents. Spencer also became a certified commercial airline and helicopter pilot, and supported and funded many children's charities, including the Spencer Scholarship Fund. Al Hoosman
Al Hoosman aka Al Hoosmann was former serviceman, boxer and actor. During the 1950s and 1960s he acted in a number of films, including '' The Phantom of the Big Tent '', '' The Avenger'', ''Oriental Nights'', and '' Beyond the Law''. The main body of his film work was in Germany where he ended up living. Background Al Hoosman went to Washington Grade School and then on to East Junior High where he stayed until the 10th grade. Leaving school that early in 1938 was a disappointment to Leonard Raffensperger and Harry Sievers who had aspirations for Hoosman to pursue football and wrestling as a heavyweight. Enzo Fiermonte (17 July 1908 – 22 March 1993), sometimes credited as William Bird, was an Italian actor and boxer. Early life Vincenzo "Enzo" Fiermonte was born on 17 July 1908 in Casamassima, a rural village near Bari, in southern Italy to Donato and Lucrezia Fiermonte. Career From 1925 to 1934, he was a professional boxer, with a lifetime record of 47 wins (11 by knockout), 17 losses (10 by knockout), and 2 draws. Herbert Fux
Herbert Fux (25 March 1927 – 13 March 2007) was an Austrian film actor and politician. He appeared in more than 140 films between 1960 and 2007. Life Fux was born in Hallein, at the age of five he moved with his family to the city of Salzburg, where his stepfather worked as a board member of the Landestheater. Having passed his matura exams under the circumstances of late World War II in 1944, he studied at the Salzburg Mozarteum University and began a career as a theatre actor. Ann Smyrner (3 November 1934 – 29 August 2016) was a Danish actress who was active in the 1960s in Italy, the United States, Austria and West Germany. She played in adventure, comedy, science fiction, crime, and horror movies, among which are the Sidney Pink science fiction movies ''Reptilicus'' and ''Journey to the Seventh Planet'' (both 1962). Ann Smyrner spent most of her screen career in Germany. After she retired from acting in 1971, she moved to Spain because, as she stated in a 2001 interview, "Both the country (Denmark) and its people are too cold and boring."
