Between The Sheets (The Isley Brothers Album)
''Between the Sheets'' is the 22nd album released by The Isley Brothers on their T-Neck imprint on April 24, 1983. The album is notable for the title track, the follow-up hit "Choosey Lover", and the ballad "Touch Me". The song also appeared in the 2007 comedy film, ''Norbit''. The group returned to Bearsville Studios in November 1982 to work on the album. Like previous albums, all the instrumentation and composition was handled by Chris Jasper, Ernie Isley and younger brother Marvin. Some songs were initially devised as songs for a splinter project the trio were working on. Eventually, however, lead singer Ronald Isley sought interest in a few of the tracks, including the title song, which was composed by the trio of Jasper and the younger Isley brothers in response to Marvin G ... Between The Sheets (The 411 Album)
''Between the Sheets'' is the debut and only studio album by British girl group The 411. It was released by Sony Music on 22 November 2004 in the United Kingdom. ''Between the Sheets'' was supported by three successful singles, including "On My Knees (The 411 song), On My Knees" featuring Ghostface Killah, "Dumb (The 411 song), Dumb" and "Teardrops (The 411 song), Teardrops". However, upon release the album failed to match the success of its singles. It charted outside of the UK top 40 and spent just three weeks on the chart, resulting in the group being dropped by Sony. Critical reception Kitty Empire from ''The Guardian'' found that "the 411's debut album offers up a further array of songs that are either too bland or not quite right. Third single "Teardrops (The 411 song), Teardrops" pivots on the same Lalo Schifrin riff that Portishead (band), Portishead lifted, but as atmospheric as it is, it remains a secondhand idea. ''Between the Sheets'' isn't dreadful, but it sounds lik ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |
