Joubert Araújo Martins, or simply Beto (born 7 January 1975, in Cuiabá) is a Brazilian former footballer who played as a midfielder. During his career, he played for several Brazilian clubs such as Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas, Botafogo, Grêmio de Foot-Ball Porto-Alegrense, Grêmio, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, Flamengo, Fluminense FC, Fluminense and CR Vasco da Gama, Vasco da Gama. After a very promising beginning to his career with Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas, Botafogo, Beto made his debut for the Brazil national football team, Brazilian national team in 1995, in a friendly match against Argentina national football team, Argentina, in Buenos Aires, which Brazil won 1–0. Cuiabá () is the capital city of the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso. It is located near the geographical centre of South America.
