''9'' is the 5th French album and 7th studio album in total to be released by the singer Lara Fabian. The album is considered by many as a shift in Lara's music style, and vocal performance, primarily because it was Lara's first album that long time producer, Rick Allison, did not produce. The Album was produced by Jean-Félix Lalanne. He also, with Fabian, composed many of the songs in the album. Special digipack editions of the album included a DVD of music videos for most of the songs on the album. The album was followed by the " Un Regard 9" tour, which totaled over 60 concerts. ''En toute intimité'' is the title of both the CD and DVD from Lara Fabian's 2003 acoustic concerts at the Olympia in Paris. Both the CD and DVD were recorded during the concerts on February 2 & 3 2003. This intimate, piano-based concert showcases acoustic versions of songs from Fabian's previous studio albums as well as many classic songs in Italian, French and English previously not recorded by Fabian. Many of Fabian's songs such as "J'y crois encore" were completely re-arranged to fit the acoustic sound. On the CD and DVD, alongside some of Fabian's most remarkable hits and album tracks, are classics such as: Dalla's "Caruso" (performed by Fabian many times before); Jevetta Steele's "Calling you" from the Bagdad Café soundtrack; French singer Renaud's "Mistral Gagnant"; and a medley from the worldwide known Francophone musical "Starmania". Walter Afanasieff (born Vladimir Nikitich Afanasyev; February 10, 1958), formerly nicknamed Baby Love in the 1980s, is an American record producer and songwriter of Russian-Chinese descent. He was a collaborator with Mariah Carey on her first six studio albums. He won the 1999 Grammy Award in the Record of the Year category for producing "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion, and the 2000 Grammy Award for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical.
