Bertil Ströberg
Bertil Johan Olof Ströberg (30 March 1932 – 25 March 2012) was a Swedish Air Force officer convicted of spying for Poland during the Cold War. In 1983 he was sentenced to six years in prison for aggravated espionage by the Stockholm District Court. Ströberg insisted on his innocence for nearly 30 years. Career Ströberg grew up in Hulevik, Västra Torsås parish between Småland and Blekinge. After six years of ''folkskola'' (people's school), the 17-year-old Ströberg enlisted in 1949 and became a signaller. He was posted at Blekinge Wing (F 17) and became a non-commissioned officer. He graduated from the Swedish Armed Forces School for Secondary Education in Uppsala and became an officer. Ströberg started his career at the Air Staff. He married Marianne Bäcklund (born 1935) and they had two children. They lived in a small house on Lidingö. Alvesta Municipality
Alvesta Municipality (''Alvesta kommun'') is a municipality in Kronoberg County, southern Sweden. Its seat is in Alvesta. The present municipality was created in 1971, when the market town (''köping'') Alvesta (instituted in 1945) was amalgamated with four surrounding rural municipalities. Amalgamations had also taken place in 1952 and 1963. The number of original local government entities within the present municipality is twelve. The municipal arms are from 1951 and depict three bees and a winged wheel. This symbolizes the railway that is so vital for the industry, while the bees signify the hard-working spirit that the locals pride themselves with. The municipality boasts nature areas and is suitable for fishing, canoeing or playing golf. Central Post Office Building (Stockholm)
The Central Post Office Building ( sv, Centralposthuset or ''Centralposten'') is a historical building at 28-34 Vasagatan in central Stockholm, Sweden. Inaugurated in 1903 and designed by architect Ferdinand Boberg (1860–1945), the building was the headquarters of Posten (Swedish post services) until 2003. It is currently serving as offices for the Ministry of Enterprise and some functions of the Government Offices, after an extensive rebuild in April 2008. History The Swedish post services dates back to the 17th century, and its headquarters were during the first 300 years found in various small buildings in Stockholm Old Town. The last building there to accommodate the department was the present Postmuseum, 6 Lilla Nygatan, rebuilt a last time in 1820. Svea Court Of Appeal
Svea Court of Appeal ( sv, Svea hovrätt), located in Stockholm, is one of six appellate courts in the Swedish legal system. It is located in the Wrangel Palace, on Riddarholmen islet in Gamla Stan, the old town of Stockholm. History The Svea Court of Appeal was founded in 1614 and was the highest court in Sweden until 1789, when the Supreme Court of Sweden was established. Among people sentenced to death by the court was Nicolaus Olai Campanius, convicted of being a Catholic, and Jacob Johan Anckarström, convicted of the assassination of Gustaf III of Sweden. Classified Information
Classified information is material that a government body deems to be sensitive information that must be protected. Access is restricted by law or regulation to particular groups of people with the necessary security clearance and need to know, and mishandling of the material can incur criminal penalties. The Embassy of Poland in Stockholm ( sv, Republiken Polens Ambassad i Stockholm; pl, Ambasada Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej w Sztokholmie) is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Poland to the Kingdom of Sweden. The chancery is located at Karlavägen 35, Stockholm.
