Albert Bertrand W. Miller (1880–1953) was an English footballer who played for Stoke. Career Miller was born in Newcastle-under-Lyme and began his career with a number of local amateur sides. His performances for Stafford Rangers earned him a move to Norwich City but after failing to make an appearance he returned to his home town and joined Stoke and played 11 matches for Stoke in the 1908–09 season. Benjamin Mandel (October 2, 1891 – August 8, 1973) "Bert Miller" was a New York city school teacher and communist activist who later became an ex-communist director of research for the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) and the Senate Internal Security Subcommittee (SIS). Robert Morgan Miller (born 25 January 1949) is a former professional footballer who played as a winger. Miller was born in Lochgelly and played junior football with Lochore Welfare before starting his professional career with Rangers in 1965. After one season at Ibrox, he joined East Fife in 1966. In September 1971, Aberdeen manager Jimmy Bonthrone paid East Fife £35,000 to sign Miller (including Jim Hamilton as part of the deal). In December 1973 he rejoined East Fife, and later played for Montrose (from October 1975), Raith Rovers (from August 1979) Cowdenbeath (from February 1982) before retiring in 1984. Hubert Miller
Hubert G. Miller (February 24, 1918 – November 18, 2000) was an American bobsledder who competed in the 1950s. He won a gold medal in the four-man event at the 1953 FIBT World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Competing in two Winter Olympics, Miller earned his best finish of ninth in the four-man event at Oslo in 1952. Miller also served in the United States Army during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. He received the Distinguished Service Cross for extraordinary heroism in July 1944 during the Battle of Normandy while serving in the infantry. Miller was born in Saranac Lake, New York, and studied at St. Lawrence University until 1938. He then earned a LL.B. degree from Albany Law School in 1941. Miller enlisted in the Army on February 17, 1942 and was commissioned as a second lieutenant on October 8, 1942 upon completion of Officer Candidate School.
