Berri (born Rebecca Sleight, 1974, York) is an English singer, best known for her 1995 hit single, " The Sunshine After the Rain", which was originally recorded by Ellie Greenwich in 1968 and later was a hit for Elkie Brooks, reaching number 10 in 1977. "The Sunshine After the Rain" was released twice, peaking at number 26 in the UK Singles Chart in December 1994, and, after a re-release, at number four in September 1995. For the first release, the credits were to New Atlantic/U4EA featuring Berri. Berri received sole artist credit on the second release, which was the 45th biggest-selling UK single of 1995, and the 77th highest selling single of 1995 in Australia. "The Sunshine After the Rain" was also certified gold in Australia. Her follow-up single, "Shine Like a Star", peaked at number 20 in the UK in December 1995. Claude Berri (; 1 July 1934 – 12 January 2009) was a French film director, writer, producer, actor and distributor. Early life Born Claude Beri Langmann in Paris, Berri was the son of Jewish immigrant parents. His mother, Beila (née Bercu), was from Romania, and his father, Hirsch Langmann, was a furrier from Poland. His sister was the screenwriter and editor Arlette Langmann. Career Berri won the "Best Film" BAFTA for '' Jean de Florette'', and was also nominated for twelve César Awards, though he never won. Berri also won the Oscar for Best Short Film for '' Le Poulet'' at the 38th Academy Awards in 1966, and produced Roman Polanski's ''Tess'' which was nominated for Best Picture in 1981. David Berri
David J. Berri (born September 26, 1969) is a sports economist and professor of economics at Southern Utah University, known for his sometimes-controversial analysis of NBA basketball. He is a past president of the North American Association of Sports Economists, and a member of the editorial board of the ''Journal of Sports Economics'' and The International Journal of Sport Finance. Nabih Berri ( ar, نبيه مصطفى بري, translit=Nabīh Muṣṭafā Barriyy, links=hh; born 28 January 1938) is a Lebanese Shia politician who has been serving as Speaker of the Parliament of Lebanon since 1992. He heads the Amal Movement. Early life and education He was born in Bo, Sierra Leone to Lebanese people, Lebanese Shia parents on 28 January 1938. His father, Mustafa Berri, was a trader there. Berri went to school in Tebnine and Ain Ebel in southern Lebanon, then continued his education in Bint Jbeil and Jaafariya supplementary schools in southern Lebanon and later studied at the Makassed and the Ecole de la Sagesse in Beirut. Berri Street (officially in french: rue Berri) is a major north–south street located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Berri Street links De la Commune Street in the south and Somerville Street in the north. The street is interrupted between Rosemont Boulevard and Jean Talon Street. Berri Street has two lanes in either direction from De la Commune Street to Roy Street. It changes to one lane in either direction north of Roy Street. The street runs through two small tunnels, one under Notre-Dame Street and another under Sherbrooke Street. Berri Street has a bicycle lane from De la Commune Street to Sherbrooke Street.
