Bentley Falcons Men's Basketball
The Bentley Falcons are composed of 21 teams representing Bentley University in intercollegiate athletics, including men and women's basketball, cross country, lacrosse, soccer, swimming & diving, tennis, and track and field. Men's sports include baseball, football, golf, and ice hockey. Women's sports include field hockey, softball, and volleyball. The Falcons compete in NCAA Division II and are members of the Northeast-10 Conference for all sports except the men's ice hockey team, which competes in Division I as a member of Atlantic Hockey. Teams History Bentley's mascot is Flex the Falcon. The university has 23 men's and women's varsity teams. Bentley University
Bentley University is a private university focused on business, accountancy, and finance and located in Waltham, Massachusetts. Founded in 1917 as a school of accounting and finance in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood, Bentley moved to Waltham in 1968. NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship
The NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship is an annual single-elimination tournament conducted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association to determine the national champion of women's Division II collegiate field hockey in the United States. The tournament was held from 1981 and 1983, discontinued from 1984 and 1991, was re-instated in 1992, and has been held every year since. Between 1984 and 1991, when the Division II tournament was not held, Division II teams competed in the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship. The most successful team are the Bloomsburg Huskies, with thirteen titles. American Football
American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The offense, the team with possession of the oval-shaped football, attempts to advance down the field by running with the ball or passing it, while the defense, the team without possession of the ball, aims to stop the offense's advance and to take control of the ball for themselves. Mackenzy Bernadeau
Mackenzy Bernadeau (born January 3, 1986) is a former American football guard. He was drafted with the 250th pick by the Carolina Panthers in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He played college football at Bentley University. Early years Bernadeau attended Plympton Elementary School and Waltham High School, where he practiced football, basketball and track. He accepted a football scholarship from Bentley University in his hometown of Waltham, Massachusetts, where he was named the starting left tackle as a freshman. He was switched to the left guard position midway through his junior year. He started 37 straight games (25 at left tackle and 12 at left guard), before suffering a torn meniscus on his left knee during the sixth game of his senior season. Ryan Soderquist
Ryan Soderquist (born December 30, 1976) is an American former ice hockey coach. He coached at Bentley University from 2001-23 and was the program's longest tenured head coach. Career Soderquist arrived at Bentley in the fall of 1996 and got off to a fast start, leading the team in scoring as a freshman. His sophomore season was even more impressive as he set team records for both goals (33) and points (59) in one season that still stand (as of 2014). in 1998–99 Bentley began to make a move to become a Division I program, playing a stronger collection of opponents over the course of the season, and it was reflected in Soderquist's decrease in scoring, posting less than half of the previous year's totals, but when the Falcons became an official member of the MAAC the following year he rebounded, netting 48 points and finishing his career as the all-time leader in goals (84) and points (173). John "Jack" Perri (born 1975) is the head men's basketball coach at Southern New Hampshire University. The 1975 NBA draft was the 29th annual draft of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The draft was held on May 29, 1975, before the 1975–76 season.
