Benbadhanabongse, Prince of Phichai ( th, เพ็ญพัฒนพงศ์; ; 13 September 1882 – 11 November 1909) was a Prince of Siam, a member of the Siamese (later Thailand) royal family. He originated the House of Benbadhana (). He was a son of Chulalongkorn, King Rama V of Siam. Early life and work Prince Benbadhanabongse was born on 13 September 1882, in the compound of the Grand Palace, Bangkok. He was the 38th child of King Chulalongkorn, and his mother was The Noble Consort (Chao Chom Manda) Morakot Phenkul, daughter of Lord (Phraya) Mahindrasakdi Dhamrong and Dame (Thanpuying) Hunn Phenkul. The Chakri dynasty ( th, ราชวงศ์ จักรี, , , ) is the current reigning dynasty of the Kingdom of Thailand, the head of the house is the king, who is head of state. The family has ruled Thailand since the founding of the Rattanakosin Era and the city of Bangkok in 1782; following the end of Taksin Thonburi's reign, when the capital of Siam shifted to Bangkok. Typhoon Morakot, known in the Philippines as Typhoon Kiko, was the deadliest typhoon to impact Taiwan in recorded history. Queen Debsirindra of Siam ( th, เทพศิรินทรา, , ), formerly Queen Ramphoei Phamaraphirom ( th, รำเพยภมราภิรมย์), born Princess Ramphoei Siriwong ( th, รำเพย ศิริวงศ์; 17 July 1834 – 9 September 1862), was the second consort of King Mongkut, and mother of King Chulalongkorn. Sri Suriyendra ( th, ศรีสุริเยนทร, , ; 1767–1836) was the queen of Siam, wife of Phutthaloetla Naphalai, who was her cousin, and mother of Mongkut and Pinklao.
