Ben White (rugby League)
Ben White (born 27 October 1994) is an English professional rugby league footballer who plays as a scrum-half or stand-off for the Batley Bulldogs in the Betfred Championship. He previously played for the Leeds Rhinos in the Super League, and on loan from Leeds at the Gloucestershire All Golds in League 1. White also played for the Swinton Lions in Championship 1 and the Championship, and Halifax and the Barrow Raiders in the Championship. Background White was born in Hounslow, London, England Playing career White is an England Youth international. He was in the Leeds Rhinos Academy system and played his junior rugby league with the Saddleworth Rangers club. The Leeds Rhinos are a professional rugby league club in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The club was formed in 1870 as Leeds St John's and play in the Super League, the top tier of English rugby league. They have played home matches at Headingley Stadium since 1890. In 1895, Leeds was one of twenty-two rugby clubs that broke away from the Rugby Football Union and formed what was originally the Northern Union, but is now the Rugby Football League. The club was known simply as Leeds until the end of the 1996 season, when they added Rhinos to their name. RFL League One (for sponsorship reasons currently known as the Betfred League One) is a professional rugby league competition based in the United Kingdom. Part of the British rugby league pyramid, the competition features clubs from England and Wales, and has previously included clubs from Canada and France.
