Ben Ward (darts Player)
Ben Ward (born 10 December 1988 from Dorchester) is a former English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation tournaments. Darts career Ward competed on the PDC Challenge Tour in 2013 and won two events to finish second in the Order of Merit behind Ross Smith. Ward was awarded a place in the preliminary round of the 2014 PDC World Championship, which was reserved for the Challenge Tour winner, as Smith had already qualified for the first round via the Pro Tour Order of Merit. Ward played against Austria's Zoran Lerchbacher in the preliminary round and lost 4–1. In March, Ward qualified for his first UK Open but was beaten 5–0 by Steve Maish in the second round. He reached the quarter-final stages of a PDC ProTour event for the first time at the seventh Players Championship of the year, where he lost 6–1 against Keegan Brown, who averaged 112.32 during the match. Ben Ward (rugby Union)
Ben Ward (born 1984) is an English rugby union player-coach who plays at Fly-half (rugby union), fly-half. He has spent the bulk of his career at Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club, Ealing Trailfinders, being part of a team that has achieved five promotions in little over a decade as they have come up through the English league system – from London 1 North, tier 6 all the way up to tier 2 (RFU Championship). A dependable points kicker, he is one of the most prolific scorers in the history of National League 2 South with over 700 points in that division. Ben is currently Ealing's Director of Rugby as well as a member of the playing squad. Bennie Franklin Leon Ward (born October 19, 1948) is a theoretical particle physicist at Baylor University in Texas, US. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and is currently co-editor-in-chief of ''The Open Nuclear'' and ''Particle Physics Journal''. Background He was born in Millen, Georgia. Benjamin Ward
Benjamin Ward (August 10, 1926 – June 10, 2002) was the first African American New York City Police Commissioner. Early life Ward was one of 11 children and was born in the Weeksville section of Brooklyn, New York. He attended Brooklyn Automotive Trades High School, graduating in 1944. Drafted into the Army after high school, he served as a military policeman and a criminal investigator with the Army in Europe for two years. Career in the NYPD Ward entered the NYPD on June 1, 1951, as a patrolman, becoming the first black officer assigned to Brooklyn's 80th Precinct, where he faced resentment from both white residents and white fellow cops. He wasn't assigned a locker at the precinct, forcing him to dress at home and ride the New York City Subway to work in his uniform for three years.
