Benjamin Edwards (born 1970) is an American visual artist known for his work with satellite maps, architectural blueprints, and computer models as source material. He is the husband of political consultant and government official Neera Tanden. Early life and education Benjamin Edwards was born in Iowa City, Iowa. He earned a bachelor's degree from University of California, Los Angeles and studied toward a master's in painting at the San Francisco Art Institute before earning a Master of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design. Career Edwards is known for his paintings that employ appropriated imagery such as satellite maps, architectural blueprints or computer models as source material. His 2004 painting ''Immersion'', for example, used cartography to explore the impact of the highway system on the development of the American suburbs. Benjamin Edwards (August 12, 1753 – November 13, 1829) was an American merchant and political leader from Montgomery County, Maryland. He represented the third district of Maryland for a very short time in the United States House of Representatives in 1795 after Uriah Forrest resigned. Early life Edwards was born on August 12, 1753 in Stafford County, Virginia; the son of Haden Edwards and Penelope (née Sanford) Edwards. He attended the common schools. Career Edwards was a prominent farmer and merchant in Montgomery County, Maryland. For about twenty-five years, he lived at Mount Pleasant farm, which was nine miles from the Montgomery County court house. He served as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates for several years. He was a delegate to the Maryland State Convention of 1788, to vote whether Maryland should ratify the proposed Constitution of the United States. Benjamin Franklin Edwards III (October 26, 1931 – April 20, 2009) was a stockbroker who expanded A. G. Edwards, a brokerage firm founded by his great-grandfather, from a regional firm to a nationwide stockbroking powerhouse, building it into the largest American brokerage firm headquartered outside of New York City. He built what was the world's largest collection of Imari porcelain, a 3,000-piece portion of which was sold at auction for $6 million. Ben Edwards (born April 10, 1992) is an American football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He played football and basketball at York High School in Yorktown, Virginia. He played college football at Richmond for four years. Edwards earned First-team All-CAA honors in 2012 after leading the CAA in receptions with 80. He was also named First-team All-CAA his senior year in 2013. After going undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft, Edwards remained unsigned until being signed by the New York Giants in May 2015. He played in two games for the Giants in 2015, catching one pass for nine yards. He spent the entire 2016 season on injured reserve and became a free agent afterwards. Ben Edwards (born 14 July 1965) is a British motor racing commentator employed by Formula One, and formerly employed by Channel 4. In the past, he has voiced television coverage of Formula One, Superleague Formula and the British Touring Car Championship, in addition to Formula One DVD Reviews for Duke Video. Ben Edwards (c. 1884 – June 17, 1954) was an American music publisher and long-time vaudeville talent agent of German birth. Life and career Born Benjamin Schmelowsky in Posen, Germany, Ben Edwards was the brother of songwriters Leo Edwards and Gus Edwards, and vaudeville songstress Dorothea Edwards. In 1891 he traveled to the United States with his family on the steamship ''Spaarndam'', arriving at the Port of New York on 29 July 1891. The family settled in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn.
