Belmannu
{{unreferenced, date=October 2021 Belmannu, also called Belman, is a small town in Karkala taluk of Udupi district. The place derived its name from the Kannada word Bellimannu which means silver (belli) soil (mannu). Belmannu is famous for Shree Durga Parameshwari Temple, which is said to be built before 7th century AD. The oldest Kannada copper plate inscription was found under the foundation of this temple in 1952. The plate states that certain rights were given to the Belmannu Village Council which functioned from the Temple and probably looked after the functioning of the temple. As the inscription dates back to 8th century AD, the temple is believed to be older than the inscription. Belmannu's St. Joseph Church was founded in 1896. It was formerly a part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Mangalore but was shifted to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Udupi. Udupi District
Udupi district (also Udipi or Odipu in Tulu language) is an administrative subdivision in the Karnataka state of India, with the district headquarters in the city of Udupi. It is situated in the Canara coastal region, there are seven taluks, 233 villages and 21 towns in Udupi district. The three northern tehsils of Udupi, Kundapur and Karkala, were partitioned from Dakshina Kannada district (South Canara) to form Udupi district on 25 August 1997. Moodabidri was officially declared as new tehsil (taluk), separated from Karkala with effect from 11 January 2018. In February 2018, the district was split to into 3 more taluks, with Byndoor being carved out of Kundapur taluk and the Udupi taluk being split into three parts. Belman was a company based in Australia that made guitars. They have recently shut down, thus leaving only a few of their last guitars out there. Their bodies are made of exotic timbers which are often embellished with well-figured tops. It is possible that the recent closing of Belman guitars will cause an uprise in the cost of a well-maintained model. History Belman guitars were handmade in Melbourne, Australia from 1994 to 2007. Tony first built a guitar as a school project with classmate Craig Manger in 1982. They subsequently collaborated in a guitar repair business and began also making custom instruments. José Francisco Belman González (born 16 June 1971) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is the current goalkeeping coach of Brazilian club Red Bull Bragantino. Playing career Belman was born in Málaga, Andalusia. After playing in his early years with former denominations of Málaga CF he went on to represent Real Balompédica Linense, Real Zaragoza (with a stint in its B team), Real Valladolid, Hércules CF and C.D.
