"Believe" is a song written by Kara DioGuardi and Marti Frederiksen and famously recorded by Canadian singer-songwriter Suzie McNeil for her debut studio album, '' Broken & Beautiful'' (2007). It was first released to digital retailers in September 2006, while "Hung Up" was serviced to radio as the official lead single. The song was re-recorded with the National Arts Centre Orchestra in support of Canada's Own the Podium campaign, and served as the official anthem of the Canadian team for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The "Olympic Inspired" version of the song, released September 17, 2007, served as the album's second single. An alternate version is also included on McNeil's second album, ''Rock-n-Roller'' (2008). Susan Jane "Suzie" McNeil is a Canadian pop rock singer and songwriter. After garnering attention as a contestant on Rock Star: INXS in 2005, McNeil began pursuing a musical career and released her debut album, '' Broken & Beautiful'', on April 10, 2007. ''Rock-n-Roller'' (sometimes stylised ''Rock N' Roller'') is the second album from Canadian singer-songwriter Suzie McNeil, released on November 4, 2008. It was reissued the following year as ''Rock-n-Roller: Reloaded'' to feature an additional song, a cover of Saving Jane's "Supergirl." Three singles released from the album, including the aforementioned "Supergirl", which became McNeil's most successful single to date when it peaked at No. 26 on the Canadian Hot 100. Critical reception The album received mixed to positive reviews from music critics. Liner notes (also sleeve notes or album notes) are the writings found on the sleeves of LP record albums and in booklets that come inserted into the compact disc jewel case or the equivalent packaging for cassettes. Clara Hughes, (born September 27, 1972) is a Canadian cyclist and speed skater who has won multiple Olympic medals in both sports. Steve Omischl (born November 16, 1978) is a Canadian freestyle skier. Career Omischl was born in North Bay, Ontario. Omischl competes in aerials, and made his World Cup debut in December 1999, finishing with a silver medal at an event in Blackcomb. Omischl earned five more podiums on the World Cup circuit before winning his first event in mid-2002. Along with a fellow olympian Jeff Bean, he participated in an episode of the hit show Mantracker where he defeated Terry Grant in the nerve-wracking chase.
