Bel-Aire is a wealthy residential area, residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located east of the Glenmore Reservoir and the Elbow River and west of the community of Meadowlark Park, Calgary, Meadowlark Park and Chinook Center and north of the neighbourhood of Mayfair, Calgary, Mayfair. The Calgary Country Club golf course makes up its northern boundary. Bel-Aire was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1954 and was established as a neighbourhood in 1960. Bel Aire is a city in Sedgwick County, Kansas, United States, and a suburb of Wichita. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 8,262. History Bel Aire was founded in January 1955 when a group of local residents petitioned the county government to create it as an improvement district for water. On November 26, 1980, Bel Aire formally incorporated as a city. This was despite a two-year legal dispute with the Wichita city government over whether or not it had the right to do so. The case ultimately went to the Kansas Supreme Court which ruled in Bel Aire's favor. Geography Bel Aire is located at (37.763758, −97.266177) at an elevation of 1,394 feet (425 m). Bel Aire is a historic home and farm located near Charlottesville, Albemarle County, Virginia. It was built about 1825, and is a -story, four bay brick double-pile dwelling in the Federal style. Belaire High School (usually abbreviated as "Belaire" or BHS) is a Public school (government-funded), public school in East Baton Rouge Parish. It is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
