Beijing–Xiong'an–Shangqiu high-speed railway (京雄商高铁) is a high-speed railway under construction in China. Shangqiu Railway Station
The Shangqiu railway station () is a railway station on Longhai railway and Xuzhou–Lanzhou high-speed railway in Shangqiu, Henan, China. History The history of the station dates back to 1912, when the French engineers responsible for route selection of the Kaifeng–Xuzhou section of Longhai railway began site survey just outside the north city gate of Guide (now Shangqiu). Since local gentries strongly opposed to the station site for the reason of Feng shui, the site of the station was moved about 7.5 km north and was named as Zhuji railway station (). Construction began in 1913, with a French-style station building covering an area of and a long platform. China Railway High-speed (CRH) is a high-speed rail service operated by China Railway. The introduction of CRH series was a major part of the sixth national railway speedup, implemented on April 18, 2007. By the end of 2020, China Railway High-speed provided service to all provinces in China, and operated just under passenger tracks in length, accounting for about two-thirds of the world's high-speed rail tracks in commercial service. Beijing–Hong Kong (Taipei) Corridor
The Beijing–Hong Kong (Taipei) corridor is a proposed high-speed railway corridor in Greater China. It will run in a north–south direction from Beijing to Hong Kong, with a branch leading from Hefei to end at Taipei across the Taiwan Strait. It will connect the cities of Beijing, Xiong'an, Fuyang, Hefei, Jiujiang, Nanchang, Ganzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong on the main line, as well as Fuzhou and Taipei, Taiwan on the branch line. The line was announced by the Chinese government in 2016 as part of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network. Currently, high-speed services from Beijing to Hong Kong travel via the Beijing–Guangzhou high-speed railway. This corridor will create a more direct route. Xiong'an New Area () is a state-level new area in the Baoding area of Hebei, China. Established in April 2017, the area is located about 100 km southwest of Beijing and 50 km east of downtown Baoding. Its main function is to serve as a development hub for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (''Jingjinji'') economic triangle. Additionally, "non-core" functions of the Chinese capital are expected to migrate here, including offices of some state-owned enterprises, government agencies, and research and development facilities.
