Beijing University Of Civil Engineering And Architecture
Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture () is a university in Beijing. Established in 1936, it is maintained by the Beijing municipal government. History The university was founded during the Qing Dynasty in 1907 when it was firstly named Jingshi (Peking) Elementary Industrial School. The school changed its name in 1933 to Beiping Municipal Senior Vocational School before the Civil Engineering Division was established in 1936. Approved by the State Council in 1977, the school became the public university and as the first university in Beijing who resumed the bachelor's degree courses, it was renamed as Beijing College of Construction and Engineering. In 1982, the college was identified as the first batch of the national bachelor's degree-granting college followed by the national master's degree-granting universities in 1986 and the university was renamed as the Beijing University of Architecture and Engineering. Sponges, the members of the phylum Porifera (; meaning 'pore bearer'), are a basal animal clade as a sister of the diploblasts. They are multicellular organisms that have bodies full of pores and channels allowing water to circulate through them, consisting of jelly-like mesohyl sandwiched between two thin layers of cells.
