Beijing North Railway Station
Beijingbei (Beijing North) railway station (), formerly known as Xizhimen railway station (), is a railway station in Beijing. It was built in 1905 as one of the original stations on the Jingzhang railway (part of the old Beijing–Baotou railway). On October 31, 2016, the station closed for renovation. On December 30, 2019, the station becomes the terminus of the high-speed Beijing–Zhangjiakou intercity railway, which is a section of Beijing-Baotou passenger-dedicated line. Renovation The station was closed from November 1, 2016 to December 30, 2019. After the renovation began, the Line S2 terminus changed to Huangtudian railway station and all other China Railway train's terminus changed to Changping North railway station. From September 30, 2020, Beijing North railway station became the southern terminus of Huairou–Miyun line. Xicheng District
Xicheng District () is a district of Beijing. Xicheng District spans , covering the western half of the old city (largely inside the 2nd Ring Road - the eastern half is Dongcheng District, Beijing, Dongcheng District), and has 706,691 inhabitants (2000 Census). Public bus service in Beijing is the among the most extensive, widely used and affordable form of public transportation in urban and suburban districts of the city. In 2015, the entire network consisted of 876 routes with a fleet of 24,347 buses and trolleybuses carried 3.98 billion passengers annually. The Beijing Subway is the rapid transit system of Beijing Municipality that consists of 25 lines including 20 rapid transit lines, two airport rail links, one maglev line and 2 light rail lines, and 463 stations. The rail network extends across 12 urban and suburban districts of Beijing and into one district of Langfang in neighboring Hebei province. Line 13 of the Beijing Subway () is a metro line that serves the northern suburbs of Beijing. On a map, Line 13's route is shaped like an inverted U that arcs north of the city and connects residential suburbs in Haidian, Changping and Chaoyang Districts with the 2nd Ring Road and Line 2 at Xizhimen and Dongzhimen. With the exception of and a tunnel between Xi'erqi and Longze, all of Line 13's tracks and stations are located on the surface or elevated above ground. Line 4 (Beijing Subway)
Line 4 of the Beijing Subway () is a subway line in Beijing's mass transit network. It entered into operation on 28 September 2009, and runs from north to south, parallel and to the west of Line 5, through Haidian, Xicheng, and Fengtai Districts in the western half of the city. It runs from Anheqiao North in the north and ends at Gongyixiqiao in the south, but the 4-Daxing connected line runs all the way to Tiangongyuan in Daxing. Line 2 (Beijing Subway)
Line 2 of the Beijing Subway () is a rapid transit rail line in central Beijing that runs in a rectangular loop around the city centre. The line traces the Ming dynasty inner city wall, which was demolished and paved over by the 2nd Ring Road and Qianmen Avenue. Line 2, opened in 1984, is the second oldest and one of the busiest of Beijing's subway lines and the only one to serve Beijing railway station. All 18 stations on the line are under ground. Huairou–Miyun Line of Beijing Suburban Railway (BCR) (), or Huaimi Line (), is a commuter rail line in Beijing. It runs from in Xicheng District to in Miyun District. The line is in length with 7 stations. It provides faster service to reach Beijing's two suburban districts, Huairou District and Miyun District from central Beijing. Changping North Railway Station
Changping North railway station (), also known as Changpingbei railway station, is a railway station in the Gulou North Street in the urban area of Changping District, Beijing. The old station started to build in 1976 and opened on with the whole Beijing–Tongliao railway. All services were stopped between June to October in 2016 to rebuild a new station. Line S2 of Beijing Suburban Railway (BCR) () is a commuter rail line in Beijing. The main line runs from Huangtudian railway station in Changping District to Yanqing railway station in Yanqing District, following the old Beijing–Baotou railway, and provides faster, more frequent and convenient service than preexisting trains.
