Bees Saal Baad (1962 Film)
''Bees Saal Baad'' () is a 1962 Indian Hindi-language psychological thriller film. It was directed by Biren Nag and produced by Hemant Kumar, who also composed the music and sang some of the songs. The film marks the directorial debut of Biren Nag, and stars Biswajeet, Waheeda Rehman, Madan Puri, Sajjan and Asit Sen. The film is a loose adaptation of the Bengali hit thriller ''Jighansa'' (1951), which was based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's ''The Hound of the Baskervilles'' as well as loosely based on Hemendra Kumar Roy's novel ''Nishithini Bivishika''. The film topped the box office chart in 1962, becoming a "super hit." The film became very popular for the song " Kahin Deep Jale", sung by Lata Mangeshkar and written by Shakeel Badayuni for which they won Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer and Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist respectively. Biren Nag
Biren Nag (1922–1964) was an acclaimed Indian film director and art director in Hindi cinema. Prior to taking up direction himself, he served as Art Director for four of the most beautiful films shot in Mumbai in the late 1950s and early 1960s: '' Pyaasa'' (1957) '' Kala Pani'' (1958) ''Chaudhvin Ka Chand'' (1960); and '' Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam'' (1962). He won a 1960 Filmfare Award for Best Art Direction for his work on ''Chaudhvin Ka Chand'' (1960). In 1962 he directed his first film, '' Bees Saal Baad'' a noirish ghost story also starring Waheeda Rehman and Biswajeet, which garnered him a Filmfare Best Director Award nomination in 1963. Manmohan Krishna
Manmohan Krishna (26 February 1922 – 3 November 1990) was a popular Indian film actor and director, who worked in Hindi films for four decades, mostly as a character actor. He started his career as a professor in Physics and held master's degree in physics. He anchored the radio show ''Cadbury's Phulwari'', a singing contest. Many people don't know that Manmohan Krishna sang his first song, 'Jhat khol de' in Afsar (1950), a Dev Anand film with music by S.D. Burman. He was a favourite with the Chopra brothers and played small or large roles in movies directed and/or produced by them.
