Lothar Warneke (15 September 1936 – 5 June 2005) was a German film director, screenwriter and actor. His 1977 film ''The Incorrigible Barbara'' was entered into the 10th Moscow International Film Festival. His 1981 film '' Our Short Life'' was entered into the 12th Moscow International Film Festival. 38th Berlin International Film Festival
The 38th annual Berlin International Film Festival was held from 12 to 23 February 1988. The festival opened with musical film ''Linie 1'' by Reinhard Hauff. The Golden Bear was awarded to the Chinese film '' Red Sorghum'' directed by Zhang Yimou. The retrospective was dedicated to colour films and it was titled ''The History of Colour Film''. The Silver Bear for Best Actor (german: Silberner Bär/Bester Darsteller) was an award presented at the Berlin International Film Festival from 1956 to 2020. It was given to an actor who has delivered an outstanding performance and was chosen by the International Jury from the films in the Competition slate at the festival. Beginning with the 71st Berlin International Film Festival, the award was replaced with the gender-neutral categories, Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance and Silver Bear for Best Supporting Performance. Ute Lubosch (born 10 March 1953 in Erfurt) is a German actress, who began her career in East German theater, film, and television. Background Ute Lubosch studied acting at the Theaterhochschule Leipzig and in the drama studio of the Dresden State Theatre in Dresden. While in Dresden, she had her first commitment for longer engagements at the State Theatre Nordhausen and the Rostock People's Theatre. Since the early 1970s she starred in many DEFA films.
