Neviano degli Arduini (Parmigiano: ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Parma in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about west of Bologna and about south of Parma. In the communal territory is the Romanesque '' Pieve di Sasso'', a national monument. This stone pieve (parish church) was built in the 11th century. Its reconstruction around 1080 is traditionally attributed to Matilda of Tuscany. It is a church with a nave and two aisles, built in rough stone. Notable is the façade, parted by thin pilasters and a medieval portal. It houses a sculpted baptismal font with octagonal plan, and figures of the Evangelists. Petermann Island is a small, low and rounded island, lying off the northwest coast of Kyiv Peninsula in Graham Land, Antarctica, a short distance south of Booth Island and the Lemaire Channel. It is a popular tourist destination. Description The island is long and across. It rises steeply to elevations of up to from a rocky coastline with raised pebble beaches. It has volcanic origins, with about half the land surface covered by a permanent, crevassed icecap. Ice-free areas have a sparse vegetation of mosses and lichens. Charlie Bazzano
Charlie Bazzano (10 October 1923 – 9 January 2014) was an Australian cyclist. He competed in the sprint event at the 1948 Summer Olympics. In the 1,000-metre sprint event semi-finals he finished fourth beaten by Britain's Reg Harris, who eventually took the silver medal. He also competed at the 1950 British Empire Games. In 1971, Bazzano became the NSW cycling coach. Private life Bazzano was born in Morano sul Po in Northern Italy. He had one brother, Leo. They and father Jack arrived in Australia when Charlie was aged three. His nephew Matt Bazzano became a notable cyclist and later Managing Director of Shimano Australia Cycling. Charlie was married to Heather who died several years before him.
