Battler (Gregory Douglass Album)
''Battler'' is a 2009 album from indie-rock artist Gregory Douglass. The first video from the record will be "Cathedrals," as stated on www.gregorydouglass.com On the record, Gregory experiments with cabaret themes and heavy, striking instrumentation, which is a departure from the piano and guitar work on this previous records. The record features fellow Vermont artists Grace Potter of the Nocturnals, as well as Anaïs Mitchell. The Battler Tour To promote the record, Gregory went on The Battler Tour in the Winter of 2009. The show opened in Cambridge, MA and traveled all throughout the United States. Opening acts varied and included Chad Perrone. The setlist contained many tracks from the new album as well as material from his previous albums ''Teeter'', ''Pseudo-Rotary'' and ''Up & Away''. Gregory Douglass
Gregory Douglass (born December 19, 1980) is an American singer-songwriter. Douglass plays lead guitar and piano. Background Douglass was born and raised in rural Vermont, performing in musical theater and winning local talent shows in his early teens. He taught himself to play the piano and guitar by age 14, and began writing his own original songs throughout junior high. While attending Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, Douglass composed and recorded the material for his first two albums. On graduation day, the schools' Headmaster presented him with a music award and publicly announced that Douglass was the first student he would ever encourage ''not'' to go to college, advice that convinced him to immediately pursue music full-time. Douglass has also been involved in theatre work, both at the amateur and professional levels. Vienna, Virginia
Vienna () is a town in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States. As of the 2020 U.S. census, Vienna has a population of 16,473. Significantly more people live in ZIP codes with the Vienna postal addresses (22180, 22181, and 22182), bordered approximately by Interstate 66 on the south, Interstate 495 on the east, Route 7 to the north, and Hunter Mill Road to the west, than in the town itself. History Non-native settlement in the region dates to ca. 1740. In 1754, prominent soldier and land owner Colonel Charles Broadwater settled within the town boundaries. The Living Room
The Living Room was a music venue on Metropolitan Avenue in the Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, which was originally established on Stanton Street of the Lower East Side in Manhattan, New York City in 1988. The Living Room was co-owned by Steve Rosenthal and Jennifer Gilson. The Living Room has showcased some of the best of New York City’s singer/songwriter, alt-country, and rock music, rock.
