The Battle of Los Angeles tournament (the BOLA) is an annual independent circuit, independent wrestling tournament in North America, run and promoted by Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. Over the years, the tournament has featured numerous notable wrestlers such as famous Total Nonstop Action Wrestling stars A.J. Pro Wrestling Guerrilla
Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) is an American professional wrestling promotion based in Los Angeles, California. It is owned and operated by wrestlers themselves, having been created by Disco Machine, Excalibur, Scott Lost, Joey Ryan, Super Dragon, and Top Gun Talwar. Since then, Disco, Talwar and Lost have retired and left the company. Since 2007, Excalibur has been the head play-by-play commentator, with a rotation of wrestlers on color commentary. Richard Allen Swann (born February 15, 1991) is an American professional wrestler currently signed to Impact Wrestling. He is a former Impact World Champion, TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Impact X Division Champion and Impact Digital Media Champion. Swann is also known for his time in WWE, where he performed under the name Rich Swann, which is his ring name today. In WWE, he is a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Battle of Los Angeles (2007) was the third Battle of Los Angeles professional wrestling tournament produced by Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG). The event was held on August 31, September 1 and September 2, 2007 at the Burbank Armory in Burbank, California. The tournament featured the PWG debuts of Doug Williams, Susumu Yokosuka, Jimmy Rave and Nigel McGuinness. The tournament concluded with a three-way elimination match, in which CIMA defeated Roderick Strong and El Generico to win the 2007 Battle of Los Angeles tournament. The event also featured a World Tag Team Championship match on night one, in which El Generico and Kevin Steen successfully defended the titles against Dragon Kid and Susumu Yokosuka. Reseda is a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1912, and its central business district started developing in 1915. Battle of Los Angeles (2006) was the second Battle of Los Angeles professional wrestling tournament produced by Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG). It was a three-night event held on September 1, September 2 and September 3, 2006 at the American Legion Post #308 in Reseda, California. The 2006 tournament featured twenty-four participants which concluded with Davey Richards defeating Cima in the final on the night three. It also marked the returns of The Briscoe Brothers and Super Dragon to PWG. The event featured the PWG debuts of Dragon Gate wrestlers Cima, Dragon Kid and Genki Horiguchi. Christopher Hancock is an American retired professional wrestler. He is best known for his tenure in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla under the ring name Chris Bosh, where he was a three time PWG World Tag Team Champion. Professional wrestling career Revolution Pro Wrestling Hancock started off his career training in the Revolution Pro Rudos Dojo. Eric Maher (born December 30, 1983) is an American professional wrestler, who is known by the ring name Eddie Edwards. He is currently signed to Impact Wrestling where he is a former two-time Impact World Champion, two-time Impact X Division Champion and a five-time Impact World Tag Team Champion with Davey Richards.
