Battle of Los Angeles (2019) was the fifteenth Battle of Los Angeles (professional wrestling), Battle of Los Angeles professional wrestling Pro Wrestling Guerrilla tournaments, tournament produced by Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG). It was a three-night event held on September 19, September 20, and September 22, 2019, at the Globe Theatre (Los Angeles), Globe Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The 2019 tournament featured twenty-four participants and concluded on the third night with Bandido (wrestler), Bandido defeating David Starr (wrestler), David Starr and Jonathan Gresham in a three-way elimination match in the final. Aside from the tournament matches, tag team matches took place across three nights and a ten-man tag team match took place on the night three. Battle of Los Angeles (2022) was the sixteenth Battle of Los Angeles professional wrestling tournament produced by Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG). It was a two-night event which took place on January 29 and January 30, 2022 at the Globe Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The night one of the tournament featured the first round matches of the tournament. The night two featured the quarterfinals, semifinals and final rounds of the tournament and an eight-man tag team match featuring losers of the first round matches from night one. Daniel Garcia defeated Mike Bailey in the final to win the 2022 Battle of Los Angeles. Background PWG postponed its planned event ''KOBE'' scheduled for March 29, 2020 due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. Bandido (born April 17, 1995) is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'' ( masked professional wrestler) who is primarily known for his work in the promotions Lucha Libre Elite (LLE), The Crash Lucha Libre and Dragon Gate (DG). He is also a former one time ROH World Champion. Bandido is currently signed to AEW. He is a fourth-generation wrestler, a relative of Apóstol Jr., Myzteziz Jr., and cousin of Magia Blanca.
