Batch '81
''Alpha Kappa Omega Batch '81'' (also known as ''Batch '81'' or ''ΑΚΩ 81'') is a 1982 Filipino psychological drama film directed by Mike de Leon, with a screenplay by de Leon, Clodualdo del Mundo, Jr., and Raquel Villavicencio. The film depicts the titular fraternity's harsh initiation of new batch members as seen through the eyes of pre-med student Sid Lucero, played by Mark Gil in what is generally recognized as his breakout role. The film premiered at the 1982 Cannes Film Festival during the Directors' Fortnight, screened alongside de Leon's 1981 film ''Kisapmata''. Upon release, the film received critical acclaim. It was adjudged by the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino as one of the Ten Best Films of the Decade. Lino Brocka
Catalino Ortiz Brocka (April 3, 1939 – May 22, 1991) was a Filipino film director. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential and significant filmmakers in the history of Philippine cinema. He co-founded the organization Concerned Artists of the Philippines (CAP), dedicated to helping artists address issues confronting the country, and the Free the Artist Movement. He was a member of the Coalition for the Restoration of Democracy. He directed landmark films such as ''Tinimbang Ka Ngunit Kulang'' (1974), '' Maynila sa mga Kuko ng Liwanag'' (1975), ''Insiang'' (1976), '' Bayan Ko: Kapit sa Patalim'' (1984), and '' Orapronobis'' (1989). The film stars Tommy Abuel as a young photographer visiting his father, played by Mario Montenegro, in his provincial town during the Lenten season. Juan Marasigan Feleo (February 28, 1948 – November 19, 2009), better known as Johnny Delgado, was a Filipino television and movie actor, comedian, and writer. He is best known for his television work on the TV gag show ''Goin' Bananas''. Other roles include the films '' Kakabakaba Ka Ba?'' and ''Tanging Yaman''. Charito Solis
Rosario Violeta Solís Hernández, better known as Charito Solís (October 6, 1935 – January 9, 1998), was a FAMAS and Gawad Urian Award-winning Filipina film actress, in addition to being the first Philippine woman who have bared her chest in recorded film. Profile Rosario Violeta Solís Hernández was born in Manila. At age 19, she was introduced by her uncle, the film director F. H. Constantino to Doña Narcisa de León, the head of LVN Pictures, who cast her to star in her initial movie ''Niña Bonita'', an adaptation of Frank Capra's ''It Happened One Night''. Nanette Inventor (born 1954) is a comedian, actress, singer, composer and writer from the Philippines. Early life Agnes Inventor was born on 23 June 1954 in Manila, capital of the Philippines. She had two sisters and a brother. She studied at the University of the Philippines Diliman with the intention of joining the diplomatic service of the Philippines. Starting singing in church at the age of seven and trained in classical singing, she continued while at university. Noel Trinidad (born ) is a Filipino television, film, and theater actor and comedian. Career Trinidad started his acting career on radio. He read lines for radio before a live audience which he used to improve upon his facial expressions.
