Basnahira North Cricket Team
Basnahira North cricket team represents northern region of Western Province, Sri Lanka in first-class cricket tournaments. Basnahira North is based in Colombo. The team competes in two Sri Lankan domestic cricket competitions. The first-class Inter-Provincial tournament and the Twenty20 competition known as the Inter-Provincial Twenty20. The team also participated in, now defunct, the Inter-Provincial Limited Overs Tournament in 2007–08. From 2009 onwards champions of the Inter-Provincial Twenty20 tournament will be eligible to represent Sri Lanka in Twenty20 Champions League. But Basnahira North did not win the title in this year. Thilina Kandamby
Sahan Hewa Thilina Kandambi (born 4 June 1982) is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and a former T20 international captain for Sri Lanka. A specialist middle-order batsman, Kandambi was marked out as a talent early, playing for the Sri Lanka Under 19s from 1998 to 2001. He also played ten first class games for the Sri Lanka A cricket team. In January 2021 he was appointed as the head coach of T10 team Bangla Tigers. International career Kandambi made his One Day International debut batting at six against Zimbabwe in 2004, but lasted four balls before he was caught behind off Mluleki Nkala for a duck. Deshabandu Hashan Prasantha Tillakaratne (born 14 July 1967) is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and a former Test captain for Sri Lanka. Upul Chandika Hathurusingha ( si, උපුල් චන්දික හතුරුසිංහ; born 13 September 1968) is a former cricketer. He was also the former head coach of the Sri Lanka national cricket team. Basnahira South cricket team is one of the five provincial cricket teams which make up the Sri Lankan domestic cricket structure representing southern region of Western province.
