Basketball At The 2021 Southeast Asian Games
Basketball was among the sports contested at the 2021 Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam. The basketball tournament in the games featured four events: traditional 5x5 basketball and 3x3 basketball, for both men and women. The competition was held at Thanh Trì District Sporting Hall in Hanoi, Vietnam. Competition schedule 3x3 basketball was held from 13 to 14 May 2022 while the regular 5x5 basketball event will be held from 16 to 22 May 2022. The 2021 Southeast Asian Games ( vi, Đại hội Thể thao Đông Nam Á 2021, lit=2021 Southeast Asian Sport Festival), officially known as the 31st Southeast Asian Games, or the 31st SEA Games and also known as Vietnam 2021, was the 31st edition of the Southeast Asian Games, the biennial regional multi-sport event which was held in Hanoi, Vietnam and its surrounding cities from 12 to 23 May 2022. Originally planned to take place from 21 November to 2 December 2021, it was eventually rescheduled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam. Featuring 526 events in 40 different sports, the edition follows the sports played in the Olympic Games, Olympics, massively rolling back events from the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, previous edition. George Isaac Yap Go (born June 7, 1996) is a Filipino-Chinese professional basketball player for the Terrafirma Dyip of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He is a three-time UAAP champion with the Ateneo Blue Eagles. Early life and high school career Go wasn't interested in basketball at a young age. Janine Ricalde Pontejos (born October 29, 1992) is a Filipino professional basketball player. She also represents the Philippine national team in international competitions. Camille Izabel Policarpio Clarin (born May 28, 2001) is a Filipino-Canadian college basketball player. She plays for the NU Lady Bulldogs and also represents the Philippine national team in international competitions. Early life Clarin was born in Antipolo, Rizal, but grew up in Canada. Matthew Andrew Christopher Wright (born February 7, 1991) is a Filipino-Canadian professional basketball player for Kyoto Hannaryz of the Japanese B.League. He played college basketball at St. Bonaventure University. He has since become an ABL champion, a two-time PBA All-Star, and a member of Gilas Pilipinas.
