Basketball was one of the 42 sports at the 16th Asian Games 2010 at Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. The event was held at the 13,000 seat Guangzhou International Sports Arena, Huangpu Gymnasium, Guangti Gymnasium, Ying Dong Gymnasium and Sports and Entertainment Centre. China defeated Korea in both of the tournament's gold medal games; Iran won the men's bronze medal defeating Japan, and Japan defeated Chinese Taipei to win the bronze medal in the women's tournament. Zhu Fangyu
Zhu Fangyu () is a former professional Chinese basketball player who spent his entire career with the Guangdong Southern Tigers in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He was nicknamed the "Rain of Three-Pointers", due to his ability to sink three-pointers at crucial moments during games. Yang Dong-geun (born September 14, 1981) is a South Korean retired basketball player for Ulsan Mobis Phoebus and the Korean national team, where he participated at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
