bartcop (born Terrence R. Coppage September 12, 1953 - March 5, 2014) was a liberal blogger from Tulsa, Oklahoma, active on the web since 1996 who produced his own internet radio show beginning in 2004. On his death he received many tributes from the liberal blogosphere. bartcop.com consisted of humorous political commentary from a liberal perspective. Scathing criticism of the Republicans, and sometimes Democrats in signature bartcop "rants" were a main draw of the site. Although a serious political commentator (i.e., his site is not satire), bartcop sometimes described himself as primarily a comedian. The constant witticisms and humor that defined his page gained him a large and loyal readership. bartcop was an ardent Bill Clinton loyalist. ''Media Whores Online'', also known as ''mediawhoresonline.com'' or ''The Horse'' or often just ''MWO'', was a liberal American political webzine that operated as a media watchdog. The site operated from 2000 until early 2004, and quickly established a reputation for quotability. By 2002 James Carville and Paul Begala would frequently cite MWO on CNN's ''Crossfire''. The founder, known pseudonymously as Jennifer Kelly or JennyQ, has never been publicly identified. The activities of JennyQ apparently began on the Salon.com Table Talk forums. That same year, MWO was noted for having created a Chris Matthews drinking game. MWO published sometimes-daily blog-like updates of news stories. Howard Dean
Howard Brush Dean III (born November 17, 1948) is an American physician, author, lobbyist, and retired politician who served as the 79th governor of Vermont from 1991 to 2003 and chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) from 2005 to 2009. Dean was an unsuccessful candidate for the Democratic nomination in the 2004 presidential election. Later, his implementation of the fifty-state strategy as head of the DNC is credited with the Democratic victories in the 2006 and 2008 elections. Garbage is an American rock band formed in 1993 in Madison, Wisconsin.
