Barry Clarke (bishop)
Barry Bryan Clarke (born 10 October 1952) is a Canadian Anglican bishop. He served as the 11th Anglican Bishop of Montreal, between 2004 and August 2015. He was also previously the interim rector of St. Paul's Cathedral (London, Ontario) and Dean of Huron. Clarke was born in Montreal and educated at McGill University and the Montreal Theological College. Upon ordination he became curate at St Matthias' Montreal. Barry Clarke (engineer)
Professor Barry Clarke is a British civil engineer. He specialises in geotechnical engineering and is Associate Director of the Institute of Resilient Infrastructure at Leeds University. Clarke has also worked at Cambridge University and at Newcastle University, where he obtained his first degree. He is a prolific writer with more than a hundred research papers and reports to his name and has written a textbook on pressuremeters in engineering applications. Clarke has sat on many construction industry committees and bodies, particularly those associated with engineering education. Early life Clarke grew up in the North East of England and studied civil engineering at Newcastle University. During his time there he attended a lecture given by leading civil engineer Ove Arup and was greatly impressed by him. Trees (band)
Trees was a British folk rock band recording and touring throughout 1969, 1970 and 1971, reforming briefly to continue performing throughout 1972. Although the group met with little commercial success in their time, the reputation of the band has grown over the years, and underwent a renaissance in 2007 following Gnarls Barkley's sampling of the track "Geordie" (from Trees’ second album '' On The Shore'') on the title track of their multi-million selling album ''St. Elsewhere''.
