Bangladeshi Cricket Team In India In 2019–20
The Bangladesh cricket team toured India in November 2019 to play two Test and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The Test series formed part of the inaugural 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship. It was the second time that Bangladesh toured India to play a Test series, and the first time that Bangladesh played a T20I series against India in India. The Test series also featured the first day/night match to be played by either side. Bangladesh's captain, Shakib Al Hasan, was initially selected to lead the team on the tour. However, on 29 October 2019, the International Cricket Council (ICC) banned Shakib from all cricket for two years, with one year suspended, after breaching the ICC's Anti-Corruption Code. Following Shakib's ban, Mominul Haque was named as the team's Test captain and Mahmudullah was named as the captain of the T20I side. 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship
The 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship was the inaugural edition of the ICC World Test Championship of Test cricket. It started on 1 August 2019 with the first Test of the 2019 Ashes series, and finished with the Final at the Rose Bowl, Southampton in June 2021. It came nearly a decade after the International Cricket Council (ICC) first approved the idea for a World Test Championship in 2010, and following two cancelled attempts to hold the inaugural competition in 2013 and 2017. It featured nine of the twelve Test playing nations, each of whom was scheduled to play a Test series against six of the other eight teams. Each series consisted of between two and five matches, so although all teams were to play six series (three at home and three away), they were not scheduled to play the same number of Tests. Sri Lankan Cricket Team In India In 2017–18
The Sri Lanka cricket team toured India in November and December 2017. The original schedule had the tour consisting of three Tests, five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and one Twenty20 International (T20I) match starting in February 2018. In March 2017, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced the dates for the 2018 Nidahas Trophy, a limited-overs tri-series tournament featuring Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh. This is scheduled to take place in March 2018. The SLC president Thilanga Sumathipala said that some of the scheduled limited-overs matches fixtures in this series would now be played in the Nidahas Trophy. 2017–18 Bangladesh Tri-Nation Series
The 2017–18 Bangladesh Tri-Nation Series was a cricket tournament that took place in January 2018. It was a tri-nation series between Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, with all the matches played as One Day Internationals (ODIs). The Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium hosted all the matches, with each fixture starting at noon.
