Bangana Town
Bangana is a Tehsil of Una District in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is located in the foothills of Solah Singhi Dhar (Lower Himalayas) in Una District of Himachal Pradesh, India. Ancient forts are located on the top of hill. It is said that Maharaja Sansar Chand built those forts. Lahore can be seen from these forts with the help of telescopes. District headquarters is 28km from here. Bangana has further two sub-tehsils Jol and Bihru History Historically Bangana was a part of Kutlehar state. Rajput Rajas from Pal Dynasty had ruled this state. After kutlehar state's annexation to Panjab, it becomes part of Kangra district until 1972. Sansar Chand
Sansar Chand (c. 1765 – 1824) was a Rajput ruler of the erstwhile state of Kangra in what is now the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Early life Sansar Chand was a scion of the Katoch dynasty which had ruled Kangra for centuries until they were ousted by the Mughals in the early 17th century. In 1758, Sansar Chand's grandfather, Ghamand Chand, had been appointed then governor of Jalandhar by Ahmed Shah Abdali. Building upon this background, Sansar Chand rallied an army, ousted the Mughal governor of Kangra, Saif Ali Khan, and regained possession of his patrimony. Sansar Chand did a lot of work for the welfare of people mainly residing in nearby places apart from Kangra like Palampur, Hamirpur. Kutlehar
Kutlehar State, covering an area of , was one of the Princely states of India.They were originally Kshatriyas. Kutlehar was an independent kingdom built in the 10th century. The limits of the kingdom were at their maximum during the rule of Raja Jas Pal in the 11th century when it is said that he was the master of all lands between the rivers of Satluj and Beas. Numerous wars were fought over the centuries including in 1337 with Mohammad Bin Tughlak, Timur in 1398, Emperor Akbar in 1556 who levied a tribute upon the Raja of Kutlehar of 1600 rupees along with gifts of jewels, cloth and hill pheasants on the Emperor's birthday. Also as a guarantee of loyalty a son of the Raja, 'a Prince' of Royal Blood was kept in attendance at the Imperial Court in Delhi and a troop of 500 foot soldiers were stationed with the Mughal Emperor and paid for by the Kutlehar Durbar. Kutlehar Fort also known as Forts of Solasingi is a fort in Himachal Pradesh, India, built by Sansar Chandra, the ruler of Kangra State. Gobind Sagar
Gobind Sagar Lake is a reservoir situated in Una and Bilaspur districts of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is formed by the Bhakra Dam. The reservoir is on the river Sutlej and is named in honour of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh guru. One of the world's highest gravity dams, the Bhakra dam rises nearly 225.5 m above its lowest foundations. Under the supervision of the American dam-builder, Harvey Slocum, work began in 1955 and was completed in 1962. To maintain the water level, the flow of the river Beas was channelized to Gobind Sagar by the Beas-Sutlej link which was accomplished in 1976. Kangra-Gaggal Airport , officially known as Kangra Airport, is a regional airport serving areas of Kangra including Dharamshala, the winter capital of Himachal Pradesh, India.
