Bangalore Political Action Committee (stylised as B.PAC) is a Bengaluru-based non-profit organisation, founded by the citizens of Bengaluru, to help improve urban infrastructure, municipal governance, and the overall quality of life. The organisation advocates good governance practices and citizen participation for sustainable development. It is primarily a think-tank that carries out research and recommends policy amendments to assist the local and state level governments. B.PAC works with the government of Karnataka and other government and non-government organisations. It is not affiliated with any political party or government organisation. There are 12 employees in B.PAC and they carry out their initiatives with the help of local volunteers. B.PAC's extent of work also includes supporting women and children welfare, political leadership, and urban traffic management. Ashwin Mahesh
Ashwin Mahesh is an urbanist, journalist, politician and social technologist based in Bangalore. After his education in atmospheric science (PhD) and astronomy (MS), he worked as a climate scientist at NASA before switching to a career in governance reforms and urban development. Nisha Millet (born 20 March 1982) is a swimmer from Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. An Arjuna Award winner, she was the only woman in the 2000 Sydney Olympics swim team for India. Career Millet had a near-drowning experience at the age of 5 years, following which her father insisted she overcame her fear and learn how to swim. In 1991, Millet learned how to swim under the guidance of her father, Aubrey at Shenoynagar Club, Chennai. By 1992, Millet had won her first state-level medal in 50m freestyle, in Chennai. Ashwini Nachappa
Ashwini Nachappa (born 21 October 1967) is an Indian former track and field athlete and actress from Karnataka. Nachappa gained fame around the start of the 1980s, when she outran P.T. Usha on two occasions. She has been referred to as India's FloJo. In 1988 she received the Arjuna award.
