Banaras (2009 Film)
''Banaras'' is a 2009 Indian Malayalam-language masala film directed by Nemom Pushparaj, starring Vineeth, Kavya Madhavan and Navya Nair in lead roles. Sanjay Padiyoor was the production controller. Plot Hari (Vineeth), a village boy and a student is the central character of the movie. He is in love with Devu (Navya Nair). He wants to go to Varanasi to do his higher studies in Banaras Hindu University. He leaves behind his love and goes for his studies. There, he meets another fellow student Amritha (Kavya Madhavan). Her stepfather wants to marry her off to a street goon and so she asks Hari to take her to a distant place on the bike. During the trip, they take shelter in a tent organized by an old man. Pirappancode Murali (born 12 June 1943) is a noted poet, lyricist, playwright, library activist and politician from Kerala, India. He represented Vamanapuram constituency in 10th (1996) and 11th (2001) Kerala Legislative Assemblies. He wrote lyrics for over fifty plays and wrote ten plays. Girish Puthenchery (1961–2010) was a noted Malayalam Lyricist, Poet, Scriptwriter and Screenwriter. He was always referred to as the aristocratic lyricist of Malayalam who had a distinctive writing style of his own. He also served as the director of Indian Performance Rights Society Malayalam division (I.P.R.S) and governing council member of the Kerala Kalamandalam and Kerala Lalithakala Academy. ''Kancheepurathe Kalyanam'' is a 2009 Malayalam comedy film by the debutant pair Fazil and Jayakrishnan. The film stars Suresh Gopi, Mukesh,and Muktha George. Plot Kalarickal Achuthankutti (Suresh Gopi) and his brother-in-law Pattarumadom Najeeb (Mukesh) run rival event management companies. They are not in good terms anymore after Achuthankutty's sister eloped with Najeeb. Both the parties reach Kancheepuram to organize the marriage of Meenakshi (Muktha George) with her uncle Sreeramalingam Mudaliar's (Jagathy Sreekumar) son, Saravanan.
