Rolling Paper
Rolling paper is a specialty paper used for making cigarettes (commercially manufactured filter cigarettes and individually made roll-your-own cigarettes). Rolling papers are packs of several cigarette-size sheets, often folded inside a cardboard wrapper. They are also known as 'blanks', which are used to encase tobacco or cannabis. It may be flavoured. Rolling papers are also used for rolling cannabis cigarettes called Joints. History The first cigarette paper was produced in Alcoy, Spain, in 1764. Paper cigarettes became popular in the second half of the 19th century, displacing the more expensive cigars and cigarillos. As cigars and cigarillos were expensive, the beggars of Spain would collect the cigar butts from the ground and roll them in pieces of paper to be smoked. During the Crimean War this culture became more prevalent and British soldiers learned how to roll tobacco in newspapers. Frequent use of rolling paper became a custom, and to fulfil the need, rolling paper ...

Hemp Paper
Hemp paper is paper varieties consisting exclusively or to a large extent from pulp obtained from fibers of industrial hemp. The products are mainly specialty papers such as cigarette paper, banknotes and technical filter papers. Compared to wood pulp, hemp pulp offers a four to five times longer fibre, a significantly lower lignin fraction as well as a higher tear resistance and tensile strength. Because the paper industry's processes have been optimized for wood as the feedstock, production costs currently are much higher than for paper from wood. History The first identified coarse paper, made from hemp, dates to the early Western Han Dynasty, 200 years before the nominal invention of papermaking by Cai Lun, who improved and standardized paper production using a range of inexpensive materials, including hemp ends, around 2000 years ago. Recycled hemp clothing, rags, and fishing nets were used as inputs for paper production. By the sixth century AD, the papermaking process ...

Cheech And Chong
Cheech & Chong are a comedy duo consisting of Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong. The duo found commercial and cultural success in the 1970s and 1980s with their stand-up routines, studio recordings, and feature films, which were based on the hippie and free love era, and especially drug and counterculture movements, most notably their love for cannabis. Career The duo met in Vancouver, British Columbia, in the late 1960s. Chong was a Canadian citizen, and Cheech had moved there from southern California to avoid the draft at the height of the Vietnam War. The pair performed stand-up shows, released many successful comedy record albums, and starred in a series of low-budget films. Some of their best-known comedy routines and songs include "Earache My Eye", " Basketball Jones", "Santa Claus and His Old Lady", and " Sister Mary Elephant". Perhaps their most famous line is ''"Dave's not here",'' from their self-titled debut album. Their early success culminated with the release of their ...

Big Bambu
: Big Bambú ''is also a work of art by the lettering artist, Walter Velez.'' ''Big Bambú'' is the second album by Cheech & Chong, released in 1972. The name ''Big Bambu'' is a reference to the actual Bambu brand of rolling paper. The original LP concept and album package was approved by the producer Lou Adler and designed by Craig Braun and manufactured by his company, Sound Packaging Corp. to look like a giant rolling paper package, and contained a giant rolling paper with the record. Vinyl copies with the rolling paper have become collectible and hard to find. The original CD packaging has been slightly reformatted, and does not contain rolling papers. In generally positive review published in ''Rolling Stone'', Janet Maslin singled out the duo's voice work for particular praise. "The thing Cheech and Chong are great with is voices. Each has terrific ears for dialect, anything from spare change wino to jiveass soul, and there are at least 20 distinct personae showing up ...

The Notorious B
''The'' () is a grammatical article in English, denoting persons or things already mentioned, under discussion, implied or otherwise presumed familiar to listeners, readers, or speakers. It is the definite article in English. ''The'' is the most frequently used word in the English language; studies and analyses of texts have found it to account for seven percent of all printed English-language words. It is derived from gendered articles in Old English which combined in Middle English and now has a single form used with pronouns of any gender. The word can be used with both singular and plural nouns, and with a noun that starts with any letter. This is different from many other languages, which have different forms of the definite article for different genders or numbers. Pronunciation In most dialects, "the" is pronounced as (with the voiced dental fricative followed by a schwa) when followed by a consonant sound, and as (homophone of pronoun ''thee'') when followed by a v ...

Dennis Wilson
Dennis Carl Wilson (December 4, 1944 – December 28, 1983) was an American musician, singer, and songwriter who co-founded the Beach Boys. He is best remembered as their drummer and as the middle brother of bandmates Brian and Carl Wilson. Dennis was the only true surfer in the Beach Boys, and his personal life exemplified the " California Myth" that the band's early songs often celebrated. He was also known for co-starring in the 1971 film ''Two-Lane Blacktop''. Wilson served mainly on drums and backing vocals for the Beach Boys. His playing can be heard on many of the group's hits, belying the popular misconception that he was always replaced on record by studio musicians. He originally had few lead vocals on the band's songs, but his prominence as a singer-songwriter increased following their 1968 album '' Friends''. His music is characterized for reflecting his "edginess" and "little of his happy charm". His original songs for the group included " Little Bird" (1968) and ...

Pacific Ocean Blue
''Pacific Ocean Blue'' is the only studio album by American musician Dennis Wilson, co-founder of the Beach Boys. When released in August 1977, it was warmly received critically, and noted for outselling the Beach Boys' contemporary efforts. Two singles were issued from the album, " River Song" and " You and I", which did not chart. The album remains a focal point of Wilson's legacy, being referred to as a "classic". It was voted number 838 in Colin Larkin's ''All Time Top 1000 Albums''. Wilson intended to record a follow-up, entitled '' Bambu'', but the album was left unfinished at the time of his death in December 1983. Background and recording After several attempts, starting in 1970, to realize his own project, some of which made it to the finished album, Wilson recorded the bulk of ''Pacific Ocean Blue'' in the months spanning the fall of 1976 to the following spring, at the Beach Boys' own Brother Studios. At the time of recording, Dennis' hard living had begun affecting h ...
