Balázs Ander
Balázs Ander (born 11 December 1976) is a Hungarians, Hungarian politician, vice-president of Jobbik and member of National Assembly (Hungary), National Assembly since 2014. Early life Ander was born in Nagyatád. He graduated from the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Pécs. He was a history teacher in Barcs. He is married and raised three children. Political career He has been the president of Jobbik's Barcs group. In 2010, he was member of General Assembly of Somogy. Since 2014 he is a member of National Assembly. On 25 January 2020, Ander was elected for vice president of Jobbik. Jobbik
The Movement for a Better Hungary ( hu, Jobbik Magyarországért Mozgalom), commonly known as Jobbik (), is a conservative political party in Hungary. Originating with radical and nationalist roots, at its beginnings, the party described itself as "a principled, conservative and radically patriotic Christian party", whose "fundamental purpose" is the protection of "Hungarian values and interests." In 2014, the party was described as an " anti-Semitic organization" by ''The Independent'' and a "neo-Nazi party" by the president of the European Jewish Congress. National Assembly (Hungary)
The National Assembly ( hu, Országgyűlés, lit=Country Assembly) is the parliament of Hungary. The unicameral body consists of 199 (386 between 1990 and 2014) members elected to 4-year terms. Election of members is done using a semi-proportional representation: a mixed-member majoritarian representation with partial compensation via transfer votes and mixed single vote; involving single-member districts and one list vote; parties must win at least 5% of the popular vote in order to gain list seats assembly. The Assembly includes 25 standing committees to debate and report on introduced bills and to supervise the activities of the ministers. Nagyatád
Nagyatád is a town in Somogy County, Hungary and the seat of Nagyatád District. ''Bodvica'', ''Henész'' and ''Kivadár'' are parts of Nagyatád. Etymology Its name derives from the Turkish word ''ata'' ( hu, atya, apa, en, father). Geography It lies on the southern side of ''Inner Somogy'', 60 km south of Lake Balaton on the main road 68. History Nagyatád was established during the Hungarian conquest by the ''Horka'' tribe. However this region was already inhabited in prehistoric times. It was first mentioned in 1190 in official documents. At that time the settlement was situated at the northern part of today's Nagyatád. The University of Pécs (UP; Hungarian: ''Pécsi Tudományegyetem''; PTE) is an institution of higher education in Hungary. The modern university was established in 1912 but has its roots in the medieval university founded in Pécs in 1367 by King Louis I the Great. A total of 20,000 students presently attend the University of Pécs, approximately 4,500 of whom are international students studying in English or German. ''The History Teacher'' is a quarterly academic journal concerned with the teaching of history in schools, colleges, and universities. It began in 1940 at the History Department at the University of Notre Dame as the ''Quarterly Bulletin of the Teachers' History Club''. Nuns attending the graduate history program in the summer edited and mimeographed the bulletin. Each issue ran 20-50 pages, with informal teaching tips, evaluations of textbooks, and short thematic essays by Notre Dame professors. Barcs ( hr, Barč; german: Bartsch or ) is a border town in Somogy County, Hungary, and the seat of Barcs District. The Drava River marks the southern boundary of the settlement. Geography Located at the Croatian border and the River Drava, the town is surrounded by the Danube-Drava National Park. It is the seat of Barcs District.
