Balloon Saga Station
is a railway station on the Nagasaki Main Line in Saga, Saga, Saga, Saga Prefecture, Japan, operated by Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu). It is a seasonal station and is only operational during the Saga International Balloon Fiesta (held around the end of October/beginning of November). Layout 
The station consists of two outward-facing side platforms serving two tracks. The two platforms are linked by walkways.

Saga, Saga
is the capital city of Saga Prefecture, located on the island of Kyushu, Japan. Saga was the capital of Saga Domain in the Edo period, and the largest city of former Hizen Province. As of August 1, 2020, the city had an estimated population of 232,736 and a population density of 539 persons per km2. The total area is 431.84 km2. Saga is located in the southeast part of Saga Prefecture. After the 2005 merger the city became very long north to south, bordering the Ariake Sea to the south and Fukuoka Prefecture to the southeast and north. Saga International Balloon Fiesta
The is held at the beginning of November every year in Saga Prefecture, Japan. In 2014 it took place between October 30 and November 3. The fiesta is held just outside Saga City, along the Kase River. It has grown from a gathering of 5 hot air balloons to a competition where over 3500 people volunteer, and has gained a reputation as one of the top ballooning competitions in the world. It is also a popular time for tourists as the Karatsu Kunchi Festival is held at the same time in Karatsu. Since 1980 the launch site has been visited by over 10 million spectators. For the duration of the event, a temporary JR station (Balloon Saga Station) ferries passengers between Saga City and Kubota.
