The Balkan Hockey League ( bg, Балканска Хокейна Лига), called the BaHL ( bg, БаХЛ), is the second highest-level ice hockey league in Bulgaria. History The league was founded by Bulgarian ice hockey player , who would become its president. In addition to Bulgarian teams, the BaHL has teams had from Serbia, Greece, and Macedonia. Teams BaHL playoffs There are playoffs after the regular seasons. Almost all BaHL have been won by Bulgarian teams. The only cases in which the championship was won by other teams, they were from Greece. Ice Hockey
Ice hockey (or simply hockey) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an ice skating rink with lines and markings specific to the sport. It belongs to a family of sports called hockey. In ice hockey, two opposing teams use ice hockey sticks to control, advance and shoot a closed, vulcanized, rubber disc called a " puck" into the other team's goal. Each goal is worth one point. Bulgaria Men's National Ice Hockey Team
The Bulgarian national ice hockey team ( bg, Национален отбор по хокей на лед на България, ''Natsionalen otbor po khokeĭ na led na Bŭlgariya'') is the national men's ice hockey team of Bulgaria. The team is controlled by the Bulgarian Ice Hockey Federation and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). As of 2018, Bulgaria is ranked 38th in the IIHF World Ranking and competes in Division III of the Ice Hockey World Championships. The team has participated once at the Olympic Winter Games. This happened in Innsbruck in 1976, when Bulgaria fell to the Czechoslovak team 14–1 in the first round. After a few more losses the team finished last in the tournament. Etro
Etro is a family-managed Italian fashion house founded in 1968. It is mainly known for its paisley patterns, which the company started making in 1981. History Etro was founded in 1968 by Gerolamo "Gimmo" Etro as a textile design company. By the time the company was born, Gimmo and his wife, Roberta, an antiques dealer, had amassed a collection of 300 antique shawls, still one of the largest private collections in existence today. HC Slavia Sofia ( bg, Славия София), ''Slaviya Sofiya'') is an ice hockey team from the Bulgarian Hockey League based in Sofia, Bulgaria. The team has won 19 league titles, and are a member of the Slavia Sofia sports club. History The team was founded in 1919 under the name of NFD Slavia Sofia.
