Musical theatre is a form of theatrical performance that combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting and dance. Milan Uhde
Milan Uhde (born 28 July 1936 in Brno) is a Czech playwright and politician. He is a member of the Civic Democratic Party. Uhde previously worked at a literary journal, but the publication was banned in 1972. He signed the human rights Charter 77 which further worsened his relations with the authorities. Nikola Šuhaj Loupežník
''Nikola Šuhaj loupežník'' is a Czech novel by Ivan Olbracht. It was first published in 1933. The story takes place in Carpathian Ruthenia, especially after, but including the duration of the World War One. Plot The whole story is set in Ruthenia. This region is forgotten, and people here are very poor and their only livelihood is the forests, where they say God lives and where there are a variety of enchanted places where even the wildlife won't approach. The novel writes two separate stories- the legend of Nikola and his real life - that blend together. The book is an allegory for legitimate justice and people's desire for freedom. Ivan Olbracht
Ivan Olbracht, born Kamil Zeman (6 January 1882, Semily, Kingdom of Bohemia, Bohemia – 20 December 1952, Prague) was a Czech people, Czech writer, journalist and translator of German language, German prose. Biography The son of writer Antal Stašek and his Jewish-born Catholic convert wife Kamila Schönfeldová. Olbracht studied law and philosophy in Prague and Berlin, he left before graduation, however, choosing the career of a journalist. In 1905, he first began editing a Social democracy, social-democratic workers' newspaper in Vienna (', Historical Papers), where he worked until 1916. When he first began publishing fiction, he primarily focused on stories and novels with a psychological theme. This phase of his writing life coincided with the First World War. Miroslav Donutil
Miroslav Donutil (born 7 February 1951) is a Czech theatrical, film and television actor, born in Třebíč. Since 1978 when he appeared as Hloch in '' Čistá řeka'', Donutil has three decades of film and TV appearances. He dubbed the voice of Kevin Costner and Gérard Depardieu. Iva Bittová
Iva Bittová (born 22 July 1958) is a Czech avant-garde violinist, singer, and composer. She began her career as an actor in the mid-1970s, appearing in several Czech feature films, but switched to playing violin and singing in the early 1980s. She started recording in 1986 and by 1990 her unique vocal and instrumental technique gained her international recognition. Since then, she has performed regularly throughout Europe, the United States and Japan, and has released over eight solo albums.
