Bala Nagamma (1942 Film)
''Bala Nagamma'' is a 1942 Telugu-language film directed by C. Pullayya and produced by S. S. Vasan. The story Bala Nagamma was one of the most popular Burrakathas. It was one of the successful early films made by Gemini Studios in Telugu which was not remade in Tamil. Gemini Studios remade the film in Hindi starring Madhubala titled ''Bahut Din Huwe'' (1954). The film was later remade in 1959 with same name under the direction of Vedantam Raghavayya. Plot The story is about Bala Nagamma, a young princess. The queen Bhulakshmi of King Navabhojaraju prays Jatangi Muni for progeny and is blessed with seven children; the youngest of them is named Bala Nagamma (Kanchanamala). She is married off to Karyavardi Raju (Banda). She is kidnapped by Mayala Marathi (Govindarajula Subbarao), who turns her into a dog and takes her to his cave at Nagullapudi Gattu. Balijepalli Lakshmikanta Kavi
Balijepalli Lakshmikantha Kavi (23 December 1881 – 30 June 1953) was an Indian playwright, novelist, poet, screenwriter, actor and freedom fighter. He is remembered for the magnum opus ''Satya Harischandriyamu'', a play written in 1924, and for his works in Telugu cinema. Brief life He was born in Itikampadu village of Guntur district near Bapatla in 1881 to Narasimha Sastry and Adilakshmamma. After matriculation in Kurnool, he worked for some in the Sub-registrar office as Gumasta. He worked as teacher in Hindu College. Banda Kanakalingeshwara Rao
Banda Kanakalingeswara Rao (20 January 1907 – 3 December 1968) was an Indian actor known for his works in Telugu theatre, and Telugu cinema. He was the member of Kendriya Sangeet Natak Akademi since 1952 and Andhra Pradesh Sangeet Natak Akademi since 1957. He promoted Kuchipudi dance along with ''Vedantam Parvatisam'' in 1957 helped the government in the establishment of ''Siddhendra Kalakshetra'' in Kuchipudi village. This institution was later merged with the Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University in 1989. He wrote many articles to take this art form to the public. Madabhushi Rangadorai (born 8 November 1937), better known by his pen name Randor Guy, is an Indian lawyer, columnist and film and legal historian associated with the English language newspaper ''The Hindu''. Relangi Venkata Ramayya ( 9 August 1910 – 27 November 1975), known mononymously by his surname as Relangi, was an Indian actor, comedian, and producer known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. He shot to fame with the role of Balawardhiraju in 1942 Balanagamma movie produced by Gemini Studios. Birth and childhood Master Viswam was born as Vuppala Viswanadham on 7 January 7, 1932, at Jaggayyapeta, Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh to Vuppala Pullayya and Kanakaratnam.
