Bahrain Men's National Ice Hockey Team
The Bahraini national ice hockey team ( ar, منتخب البحرين لهوكي الجليد) is the national ice hockey team of Bahrain. History Bahrain played its first game in a 2010 exhibition game against Kuwait in which they lost, 10–3. The following year, Bahrain competed in the Premier Division of the 2011 Asian Winter Games. In the first two games they were beaten by Malaysia (25–0) and by Thailand (29–0). They finished the tournament losing all six of their games and placing last on the table. In 2012, Bahrain competed in the 2012 Gulf Ice Hockey Championship. The team finished last after losing the bronze medal game against Oman. Malaysia Men's National Ice Hockey Team
The Malaysian national ice hockey team ( ms, Pasukan hoki ais kebangsaan Malaysia) is the national men's ice hockey team of Malaysia. The team is controlled by the Malaysia Ice Hockey Federation and has been an associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) since 28 September 2006. Ice hockey was part of the 2017 SEA Games held in Kuala Lumpur. The IIHF announced that Malaysia will make its World Championship debut in 2020. In ice hockey, the captain is the player designated by a team as the only person authorized to speak with the game officials regarding rule interpretations when the captain is on the ice. At most levels of play each team must designate one captain and a number of alternate captains (usually two or three) who speak to the officials when the captain is on the bench. In ice hockey, the goaltender (commonly referred to as the goalie) is the player responsible for preventing the hockey puck from entering their team's net, thus preventing the opposing team from scoring. Defence or defense (in American English) in ice hockey is a player position that is primarily responsible for preventing the opposing team from Goal (ice hockey), scoring. They are often referred to as defencemen, D, D-men or blueliners (the latter a reference to the blue line in ice hockey which represents the boundary of the offensive zone; defencemen generally position themselves along the line to keep the puck in the zone). Forward (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a forward is a player, and a position on the ice, whose primary responsibility is to score and assist goals. Generally, the forwards try to stay in three different lanes of the ice going from goal to goal. It is not mandatory, however, to stay in a lane. Staying in a lane aids in forming the common offensive strategy known as a triangle. One forward obtains the puck and then the forwards pass it between themselves making the goalie move side to side. This strategy opens up the net for scoring opportunities. This strategy allows for a constant flow of the play, attempting to maintain the control of play by one team in the offensive zone. The forwards can pass to the defence players playing at the blue line, thus freeing up the play and allowing either a shot from the point (blue line position where the defence stands) or a pass back to the offence. The Omani national ice hockey team ( ar, منتخب عمان لهوكي الجليد), nicknamed '' The Khanjars'' ( ar, الخنجر ''Al-Khanajar''), is the national ice hockey team of Oman. The Thailand national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Thailand. The team is controlled by the Ice Hockey Association of Thailand and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. Thailand is currently ranked at fifty-first in the IIHF World Rankings and have been entered in the World Championship tournaments since 2019 but have not yet participated at any Olympic Games. They have played in the Challenge Cup of Asia, a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey nations in Asia.
