Almora Lok Sabha Constituency
Almora Lok Sabha constituency is one of the five Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Uttarakhand. This constituency came into existence in 1952, following the delimitation of Lok Sabha constituencies. It comprises four districts namely Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat and Pithoragarh. Since 2009, this constituency is reserved for the Scheduled Caste candidates. Sainik (English: Soldier) is a 1993 Indian action film directed by Sikander Bharti. It stars Akshay Kumar, Ashwini Bhave and Farheen. Plot This movie is about an army officer named Suraj Dutt (Akshay Kumar), who is the son of Yashpal Dutt ( Anupam Kher). Suraj goes to meet his sister Minnie in at a women's college before he falls in love with Alka ( Ashwini Bhave). They get married soon, but Suraj is called for a year-long mission. While he is away a message arrives that Suraj has been killed. Minni, Alka and Yashpal each learn about this, but don't tell each other as they feel each other will die upon hearing this. Legislative Assembly elections were held in Uttarakhand on 14 February 2022 to elect 70 members of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly. 2017 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Election
The 2017 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly election were the 4th Vidhan Sabha ( Legislative Assembly) election of the state of Uttarakhand in India. Elections were held on 15 February 2017 in a single phase for the 69 seats of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly. Voting in the Karnaprayag constituency was postponed until 9 March 2017 due to the death of BSP candidate Kuldeep Kanwasi in a road accident.
