The women's team badminton tournament at the 2023 SEA Games was held from 8 to 11 May 2023 at the Morodok Techo Badminton Hall, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Thailand women's team is the defending champions in this event. The team targeted to retain the title. Morodok Techo National Sports Complex
The Morodok Techo National Sports Complex ( km, ពហុកីឡដ្ឋានជាតិមរតកតេជោ) is a sports complex in Phnom Penh, Cambodia which is set to host the 2023 Southeast Asian Games. History Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen in August 2012 approved the creation of an inter-ministerial committee to manage the construction of the Morodok Techo National Sports Complex in a lot in Phnom Penh. Parts of the Boeung Pong Peay lake were reclaimed for the construction of the facility. According to the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, the sports complex would be the country's first "modern multipurpose and international standard sports facility". Costing around $200 million, the sports complex's construction which began in April 2013 was funded by the Chinese government. Benyapa Aimsaard ( th, เบญญาภา เอี่ยมสอาด; born 29 August 2002) is a Thai badminton player. Career Aimsaard educated at the Demonstration School of Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University. She entered the international circuit in 2015, at a very young age of 13. At the Asian U–15 Junior Championships, she finished as mixed doubles runner-up with Setthanan Piyawatcharavijit. At the age of 15, she was able to compete in the senior international tournament, by becoming a finalist in the 2017 Lao International Series. Supanida Katethong ( th, ศุภนิดา เกตุทอง; born 26 October 1997) is a Thai badminton player. She won the gold medal in the women's singles at the 2023 SEA Games, and also part of Thai winning team at the Games in 2021 and 2023.
