Istora Gelora Bung Karno
Gelora Bung Karno Sports Palace ( id, Istana Olahraga Gelora Bung Karno, abbreviated as ''Istora''), the formerly name ''Istora Senayan'' is an indoor sporting arena located in Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex, Jakarta, Indonesia. The capacity of the arena after 2018 reopening is 7,166. This arena is usually used for badminton tournaments. Its maiden event was the 1961 Thomas Cup. It was also used during the 1962 Asian Games and was renovated to host the 2018 edition. Its first post-renovation event was the 2018 Indonesia Masters. During the latter Games, it hosted the badminton and later stages of basketball events. The arena originally was planned to stage the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup and becoming the only Indonesian venue in the three-country joint bid but was moved to a newly-built arena inside the complex. Son Wan-ho
Son Wan-ho (Hangul: 손완호; or ; born 17 May 1988) is a South Korean badminton player. He reached a career high as world number 1 in the men's singles in May 2017. He competed at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. He plays primarily defensively, and began playing badminton after a teacher suggested it to him in elementary school. He holds a bachelor's degree from Inha University in Incheon, South Korea. In 2017, he helped the Korean national team reach the final at the Sudirman Cup and won that tournament. He is married to compatriot women's singles player, Sung Ji-hyun. Phạm Cao Cường (born 30 May 1996) is a Vietnamese badminton player. He was born in badminton family, his brothers Cao Hiếu and Cao Thắng are former national players. He had shown his potential as a badminton player when he was young, and at age 16, he reach in the top 8 at the National Championships in the men's singles event. His parents and Ho Chi Minh City Sports Department decided to send him to be trained in Indonesia under coach Asep Suharno. Kantaphon Wangcharoen
Kantaphon Wangcharoen ( th, กันตภณ หวังเจริญ; born 18 September 1998) is a Thai badminton player. At the young age, Wangcharoen became the runner-up in the senior tournament 2014 Singapore International in the men's singles event after losing the match because of foot injury. Wangcharoen clinched the bronze medal at the World Junior Championships in the boys' singles event, also part of the junior team that won the mixed team bronze in 2014 and 2016, and Asian mixed team bronze in 2016. Wangcharoen was a member of the Thailand national team that won the bronze medals at the 2017, 2019 Southeast Asian Games and 2019 Sudirman Cup.
