The badminton women's doubles tournament at the 2019 European Games was held from 24 to 29 June at Falcon Club. Competition format The doubles tournament is played with 16 pairs, initially playing in four groups of four, before the top two from each group qualifies for an 8-pair knock-out stage. Selena Piek
Selena Piek (born 30 September 1991) is a Dutch badminton player who specializes in doubles. Her current partner is Cheryl Seinen for women's doubles and Robin Tabeling for mixed doubles. She won the 2014 and 2015 editions of Dutch National Badminton Championships with Eefje Muskens. Maiken Fruergaard Sørensen (born 11 May 1995) is a Danish badminton player, specializing in doubles play. As a junior player, she was the gold medalists at the 2013 European Junior Championships in the team and mixed doubles events, and in 2014, she entered the national team. Emma Karlsson (born 16 May 1998) is a retired Swedish badminton player. She won gold at the 2017 European Junior Championships in the girls' doubles event with her partner, Johanna Magnusson. Karlsson won her first senior international title at the 2018 Swedish Open, and at the 2019 Norwegian International she claimed two titles in the women's and mixed doubles events. Karlsson retired from the international badminton in November 2020.
