Thammasat Stadium
Thammasat Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the city of Rangsit, Pathum Thani, Thailand. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 25,000. It is on Thammasat University's Rangsit campus. It is located close to Bangkok. History It was built for the 1998 Asian Games by construction firm Christiani and Nielsen, the same company that constructed the Democracy Monument in Bangkok. Its appearance is that of a scaled down version of Rajamangala Stadium. The tribunes form a continuous ring which are quite low behind each goal but rise up on each side. Unlike Rajamangala though, Thammasat has a roof covering both side tribunes. Most striking about this stadium are the floodlights. Thai architects usually favour concrete pylons but these are the steel variety. As viewed from the exterior of the stadium the base of each pylon seems to grip the outside of the stadium and they dramatically lean over the tribunes so as to better illuminate the playing area. James Chua
James Chua (; born 30 March 1979) is a Malaysian former badminton player. Born in Sarawak, Chua moved to Kuala Lumpur to join the BAM squad in 1995. He was part of the Malaysia junior team that won the boys' team bronze at the 1997 Asian Junior Championships in Manila. He was the champion at the 1998 Malaysia Satellite, and in 2001 clinched the National Championships title. Chan Chong Ming (born 16 February 1980) is a former Malaysian badminton player and a current head coach of Malaysian national women's doubles squad. Career Chan competed in badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics with his then partner, Chew Choon Eng. In the first round, they defeated Theodoros Velkos and George Patis of Greece, but were then defeated in the round of 16 by Zheng Bo and Sang Yang of the China. After his unsuccessful outing in the Olympic Games, Chan's regular doubles partner was changed to Koo Kien Keat. Together, they claimed 2005 Denmark Open title.
