It produces the largest fruit of any species within the genus ''Passiflora''. It is a perennial climber native to the Neotropics. Pavel Badea (born 10 June 1967) is a Romanian retired footballer who played as a midfielder. He played professionally in Romania, Switzerland, South Korea and Japan. Playing career Badea began his professional football career with FC Universitatea Craiova, making his league debut in 1984. He left Romania to play for FC Lausanne-Sport of Switzerland in the summer of 1992, later moving to Korea Republic to play for Suwon Samsung Bluewings from 1996 to 1998. He spent the next several seasons in Japan playing for Bellmare Hiratsuka, Kashiwa Reysol and Avispa Fukuoka in the J1 League. He returned to Romania in December 2001, where he finished his career with FC Extensiv Craiova and FC Universitatea Craiova. Badea Cârțan (roughly: ''Brother Cârțan'' – the common nickname of Gheorghe Cârțan; 24 January 1849 – 7 August 1911) was a self-taught ethnic Romanian shepherd who fought for the independence of the Romanians of Transylvania (then under Hungarian rule inside Austria-Hungary), distributing Romanian-language books that he secretly brought from Romania to their villages. In all he smuggled some 200,000 books for pupils, priests, teachers and peasants; he used several routes to pass through the Făgăraş Mountains. He was born in Cârțișoara, present-day Sibiu County, the second child of poor peasants (Nicolae and Ludovica) who were former serfs, and he spent his childhood tending sheep at the edge of his village. Viorel Riceard Badea (born 21 June 1968, Craiova) is a Romanian politician, member of the Senate of Romania. Early life and career Badea graduated from the University of Bucharest. He worked as the head of The Department for Romanians Abroad (1999–2000) and as an adviser for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2000–2006).
